I am very pleased with this item. The installation went smoothly and it seems to hold temperature very well as it doesn't run all that often. There is always plenty of steaming hot water available whenever I need it. I love it!

Update: I use this daily and still love it. I had plenty of people warn me that these hot water tanks are inefficient and will increase my electric bill. I use this for instant coffee, warming baby bottles, oatmeal, you name it. Even still, there hasn't been even an incremental increase in my bill, highly recommend this item!

I bought the satin nickel unit last week and installed it this week. Shipping was a respectable couple of days and everything arrived as described. The unit works very well, operates with zero noise and has not given me any problems to date. I have installed $400 units sold at Home Depot and I would never pay 3 times as much for those units compared to the Quick and Hot. The faucet is sturdy, of a high quality and does not look out of place in high priced kitchen. Great buy at less then $150.

Pros: Faucet is well constructed, multiple finishes available, adjustable temperature dial, 1 year warranty, price

Cons: Water drains back into the unit after use resulting in a 1-2 second delay at each use, the connections are all 1/4" copper tube pressure fittings (will leak if not sealed correctly), saddle tap valve is not included.

Recently purchased a Waste King Hot Water Dispenser. Previously had one by another manufacturer (in fact had 3 of them, as they kept going out). The Waste King is better looking, get water hotter and has used much less energy. Highly recommended.

I had an Insinkerator Hot Water Dispenser and it was trouble from day one. The faucet would stick on, it was a pain to install with such short hoses, 3 tank connections and their customer service was terrible. The Insinkerator failed (tank rusted through) after a few years and I told myself I wasn't going to buy another based on my experiences. I read the reviews on this Waste King and they seemed really good so I purcheased it. It was a lot cheaper than the other brand also.
It is really nicely made. Heavy faucet (I think it's built out of all brass) and the tank seems nicely constructed. I followed the directions and had it installed in about 90 minutes (that included removing the old one). All of the parts were included to do the install. I did have to buy a 1/4" copper tubing bender to bend the copper lines in the direction I needed for connections to the tank. After installing it and filling the tank, I plugged it in and had hot water in about 7 minutes. It operates very quietly and has been great so far.
I contacted their customer service regarding warranty information (what I would need in the event something happened) and they were very helpful.
All in all, I am happy so far. Should something arise, I will update this review.

**UPDATE** 9-24-2014: It's been over 4 years now and everything is still working as it should. Very happy.

I loved this hot water faucet as soon as I got it, it sits adjacent to and matches my large Kohler faucet. My only complaint is that after 4 yrs of use, the tube (that connects the hot water tank to the faucet) failed. We shortened the hose, cutting out the thinned area, but it started leaking again after 6 months. Spoke with the manufacturer and there is no way to replace only the hose, we have to purchase an entire faucet unit. This is quite disappointing since hoses are cheap but the faucet isn't, and the faucet itself works fine.

Out of the box, it looks like a quality item. Some things to consider:

It is 1300 Watts, thus making it about 11 amps. Some things I have read said 780 watts. More is better, so I am glad. Certainly needs it's own circuit. I put mine on a 20 amp circuit with GFI outlet under the sink.

The faucet has two 1/4 inch copper pipes, about 18 inches long. Also, a larger floppy plastic hose. The water goes from the source to one of the copper tubes, then to the faucet valve, then down the other copper tube to the heater tank. The hot water gets to the faucet spout via the larger floppy tube.

The water is never pressurized because the valve (on the faucet) is before the tank. When you push on the lever, cold water flows into the bottom of the tank, displacing hot water out the top of the tank to the faucet. Between the top heater tank outlet and the faucet spout is just the large plastic tubing, no valve.

There is nothing included for tapping into the cold water line. Somehow you have to get your cold water to the 1/4 inch copper pipe. They do have 2 quick connects, one for each of the open ends of the copper pipes.

I am hooking mine to my reverse osmosis water filter. I was disappointed that it had so much copper pipe, RO water tends to eat copper. I think it will be all right, though. By the time it eats the pipes, it will probably be time to replace the system anyway.

One thing to note: This hot water dispenser, like all other makes and models, does not let you lock the faucet open. I think this is a safety thing, but it is really annoying when you are trying to fill a large teakettle or pot. You have to hold the valve open throughout the filling. Again, all hot water dispensers are like that.

How hot can it get?
