I am very pleased with this item. The installation went smoothly and it seems to hold temperature very well as it doesn't run all that often. There is always plenty of steaming hot water available whenever I need it. I love it!Update: I use this daily and still love it. I had plenty of people warn me that these hot water tanks are inefficient and will increase my electric bill. I use this for instant coffee, warming baby bottles, oatmeal, you name it. Even still, there hasn't been even an incremental increase in my bill, highly recommend this item!

Recently purchased a Waste King Hot Water Dispenser. Previously had one by another manufacturer (in fact had 3 of them, as they kept going out). The Waste King is better looking, get water hotter and has used much less energy. Highly recommended.

Best value instant hot water available,
This review is from: Waste King H710-U-SN Coronado Hot Water Faucet with Tank, Satin Nickel (Tools & Home Improvement)
I bought the satin nickel unit last week and installed it this week. Shipping was a respectable couple of days and everything arrived as described. The unit works very well, operates with zero noise and has not given me any problems to date. I have installed $400 units sold at Home Depot and I would never pay 3 times as much for those units compared to the Quick and Hot. The faucet is sturdy, of a high quality and does not look out of place in high priced kitchen. Great buy at less then $150.Pros: Faucet is well constructed, multiple finishes available, adjustable temperature dial, 1 year warranty, price Cons: Water drains back into the unit after use resulting in a 1-2 second delay at each use, the connections are all 1/4" copper tube pressure fittings (will leak if not sealed correctly), saddle tap valve is not included.

Better than Insinkerator,

I had an Insinkerator Hot Water Dispenser and it was trouble from day one. The faucet would stick on, it was a pain to install with such short hoses, 3 tank connections and their customer service was terrible. The Insinkerator failed (tank rusted through) after a few years and I told myself I wasn't going to buy another based on my experiences. I read the reviews on this Waste King and they seemed really good so I purcheased it. It was a lot cheaper than the other brand also.It is really nicely made. Heavy faucet (I think it's built out of all brass) and the tank seems nicely constructed. I followed the directions and had it installed in about 90 minutes (that included removing the old one). All of the parts were included to do the install. I did have to buy a 1/4" copper tubing bender to bend the copper lines in the direction I needed for connections to the tank. After installing it and filling the tank, I plugged it in and had hot water in about 7 minutes. It operates very quietly and has been great so far. I contacted their customer service regarding warranty information (what I would need in the event something happened) and they were very helpful. All in all, I am happy so far. Should something arise, I will update this review.

We have had three hot water dispensers since remodeling the kitchen some 6 years ago. I first got the low end heater from another company, and the tank gave out, so got the upgraded model, same company, and the tank leaked after 2 years on that one too. I like this one better than either of those, initially for three reasons, and we'll see how the tank holds up. 1) The spigot is taller and I have no difficulty fitting tall containers under it. Small thing but terribly important for big coffee cups. 2) The water is hotter. 3) It actually cost less than the other brand, is heavier built and has a longer power cord. I am hoping that it outlasts the other heaters, but even if it has the same life, I would order this one over the others again.

Great Replacement for Failed InSinkerator!,

This review is from: Waste King H710-U-SN Coronado Hot Water Faucet with Tank, Satin Nickel (Tools & Home Improvement)
I bought this unit and installed it to replace a 3.5 year old insinkerator that failed electrically and tripped my breaker. It melted the heating element plastic and would have been a fire hazard. This unit installed easily using the existing faucet so I did not use the attractive faucet that came with it. (It is not the double S curve in the picture but a U shaped faucet.) The Boiling water outlet clamped directly on the new tank, while the cold water inlet (blue plastic) I was able to cut off the ferrule and use the supplied quick-connect to attach the pipe to the new tank. No leaks. There is a third hose from the Insinkerator faucet that seems to be a vent and is not used. I didn't plug it but you may if you like. Plug it in, and I had to turn it down because it was boiling all of the water! Even off of the highest setting it produces hotter water than the InSinkerator ever did. And for $75 less than Insinkerator it is a no brainer! Hope this lasts longer but it looks like a quality product with all metal cover.

This item showed up sooner than expected. This was great as our former unit from Lowes had given out after just 3 years of use. This brand I highly recomend as it does not spit like the other unit when dispersing HOT water. It was easy to install and looks great. Saves electricity as you do not have to boil water on the stove. Also everything is included at a VERY reasonable price! Many units you must purchacet a faucet separately. I highly recomend this product and the seller. Waste King H710-U-SN Coronado Hot Water Faucet with tank, Satin Nickel.

Out of the box, it looks like a quality item. Some things to consider:It is 1300 Watts, thus making it about 11 amps. Some things I have read said 780 watts. More is better, so I am glad. Certainly needs it's own circuit. I put mine on a 20 amp circuit with GFI outlet under the sink. The faucet has two 1/4 inch copper pipes, about 18 inches long. Also, a larger floppy plastic hose. The water goes from the source to one of the copper tubes, then to the faucet valve, then down the other copper tube to the heater tank. The hot water gets to the faucet spout via the larger floppy tube. The water is never pressurized because the valve (on the faucet) is before the tank. When you push on the lever, cold water flows into the bottom of the tank, displacing hot water out the top of the tank to the faucet. Between the top heater tank outlet and the faucet spout is just the large plastic tubing, no valve. There is nothing included for tapping into the cold water line. Somehow you have to get your cold water to the 1/4 inch copper pipe. They do have 2 quick connects, one for each of the open ends of the copper pipes. I am hooking mine to my reverse osmosis water filter. I was disappointed that it had so much copper pipe, RO water tends to eat copper. I think it will be all right, though. By the time it eats the pipes, it will probably be time to replace the system anyway. How hot can it get? It says in the manual it can get to 200 F. However, it will sputter and hiss at this temp. I carefully adjusted the temp to just below sputtering, then measured the water temp with a digital cooking thermometer. 155 F. That's about as hot as you can reasonably keep it. 155 F. Great for oatmeal, but not optimum for most tea (see below)or coffee (200 F). If you like white tea, you are in luck. Type Water Temp. Steep Time Infusions White Tea 65 to 70 °C (149 to 158 °F) 1-2 minutes 3 Yellow Tea 70 to 75 °C (158 to 167 °F) 1-2 minutes 3 Green Tea 75 to 80 °C (167 to 176 °F) 1-2 minutes 4-6 Oolong Tea 80 to 85 °C (176 to 185 °F) 2-3 minutes 4-6 Black Tea 99 °C (210 °F) 2-3 minutes 2-3 Pu'er Tea 95 to 100 °C (203 to 212 °F) Limitless Several Herbal Tea 99 °C (210 °F) 3-6 minutes Varied I drink a lot of black and herbal tea. The water coming to my faucet is about 50 F, to boil a full kettle take 13 minutes (gas stove). If I use the pre-heated water, it takes about 3.5 minutes. I usually just boil two large mugs worth at a time, so the boil time is now always under 2 minutes, where it used to be 8 minutes. Nice. Makes boiling water for any dish way faster, about 1/4 the time. Hot water is also nice for cleaning. Hope this info was helpful, and good luck.

Had two InSink Erators, and based on current reviews, I decided to try another brand. Last one lasted approx 6 years before it finally leaked - not too bad I guess. This Waste King hot water dispenser works as described, water does get pretty hot. Installation was simple for me as I have had 2 before and are basically all the same. You cannot use your InSink Erator faucet with Waste King tank - InSink Erator is designed to use a vent tube which Waste King does not use. I hope this gives me 6+ years, but so far, so good.Pros: Cost less than InSink Erator, quick connects are a nice feature (including the small cone filter in the water supply quick connect), this style is sleek and simple looking (Coronado). Cons: There is a slight delay (1-2 seconds) after you press the lever, the tank is slightly bulky compared to InSink Erator, but not enough to make a big deal over, and it would be nice if it included additional copper tubing with compression nut and sleeve (for valve conncections).

This review is from: Waste King H710-U-SN Coronado Hot Water Faucet with Tank, Satin Nickel (Tools & Home Improvement)
I loved this hot water faucet as soon as I got it, it sits adjacent to and matches my large Kohler faucet. My only complaint is that after 4 yrs of use, the tube (that connects the hot water tank to the faucet) failed. We shortened the hose, cutting out the thinned area, but it started leaking again after 6 months. Spoke with the manufacturer and there is no way to replace only the hose, we have to purchase an entire faucet unit. This is quite disappointing since hoses are cheap but the faucet isn't, and the faucet itself works fine.
