Biography

THE 69 EYES return with their ninth studio album, 'Back in Blood,' 12 goth ‘n’ roll anthems guaranteed to rock the crypt. “Unsurprisingly, the main inspiration for the album came from the vampire realm,” vocalist Jyrki 69 explains. “It’s almost like vampires are taking over the world!” he muses referring to the current ‘Twilight’ mania. The first single will be the tongue-in-cheek ‘Dead Girls Are… Read more in Amazon's 69 Eyes Store

Editorial Reviews

The 69 Eyes are great goth rock 'n' roll from Finland. The album's epic melan-gothic Top 10 hit single, 'Wasting The Dawn', pays tribute to The Doors' Jim Morrison & even had HIM's Ville Valo posing at a snowy cemetery as Mr. Mojo Risin' in its video. Gaga Goodies. 1999.

5.0 out of 5 stars long live the eyes, January 22, 2005
By
deus ex mecca (Miami, FL United States) - See all my reviews

this cd is awesome, it's amazing, it's...it's tr00 goth-n-roll sleaze glam rock at it's best. i love every song, this album is pretty intense, compared to Paris Kills, Blessed Be, and Bump N' Grind, this album encompasses that transitional phase the eyes made from sleaze rock to goth rock. it's a very intense and strong album, but also contains a very dark element to it. the music is strong, it's all in your face style, and the lyrics scream for an 80's revival. overall, this album is a killer.

5.0 out of 5 stars These guys rock!, January 15, 2006

I love this CD. IMO, 69 Eyes just gets better with each release. No filler here, just consistantly great gothic metal all the way through. Dark, decadent, great energy. Some of the songs sounded like they were influenced by The Cult - not a bad thing. Great new rock is so rare - thanks 69 Eyes!

5.0 out of 5 stars Wasting the dawn is AWSOME, April 8, 2006
This review is from: Wasting the Dawn (Audio CD)
This cd is worth ordering and the freaking five day wait for it. The song wasting the dawn is the best it has ville valo as backing vocals making the song twice as good. This cd will get stuck in your head as well as all the other 69 eyes cds.
