5.0 out of 5 stars long live the eyes, January 22, 2005

this cd is awesome, it's amazing, it's...it's tr00 goth-n-roll sleaze glam rock at it's best. i love every song, this album is pretty intense, compared to Paris Kills, Blessed Be, and Bump N' Grind, this album encompasses that transitional phase the eyes made from sleaze rock to goth rock. it's a very intense and strong album, but also contains a very dark element to it. the music is strong, it's all in your face style, and the lyrics scream for an 80's revival. overall, this album is a killer.

5.0 out of 5 stars These guys rock!, January 15, 2006

I love this CD. IMO, 69 Eyes just gets better with each release. No filler here, just consistantly great gothic metal all the way through. Dark, decadent, great energy. Some of the songs sounded like they were influenced by The Cult - not a bad thing. Great new rock is so rare - thanks 69 Eyes!

5.0 out of 5 stars Wasting the dawn is AWSOME, April 8, 2006
This review is from: Wasting the Dawn (Audio CD)
This cd is worth ordering and the freaking five day wait for it. The song wasting the dawn is the best it has ville valo as backing vocals making the song twice as good. This cd will get stuck in your head as well as all the other 69 eyes cds.

I have listen to this album for a while now and i felt like write a rewiew for it because i can`t see no other have done it.
This is a bit harder album than their later album, a bit rawer and rougher in the songs and singing. It`s a high tempamental album with a lot of energi in it all the way. No ballads, it`s drive over all the songs. Not their best album but highly recomended listening. It`s easy listning so you get there fast and not have to listen careefully to hear what it is all about.

Rough gitar playing with a bitt fuzz in, the singers voice are superior, dark, rough and a little bit fuzzy. But not yelling or gruff singing. Pure metal with a gothic influence. Great songs on this album: Wasting the dawn, Lazarus heart, All american dream, next stop paradise but the whole album is good listening.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good sh**!, August 29, 2006
This review is from: Wasting the Dawn (Audio CD)
Well, this album is a good one. Its not my favorite of the 69 eyes albums, but it rocks nevertheless! This CD is more towards heavy metal than goth, and I guess is the album that send the band in a new direction.

If you are unfamiliar with the 69 eyes, you might want to start of with another album. Blessed be, paris kills, and Devils are all better albums,

If you allready listen to the 69 eyes, you need to get this one! It has a few awsome songs on it, even thought its not my favorite album it has my favorite song "wasting the dawn".

The 69 Eyes will forever and always be my favorite band. They always deliver great music, and the lyrics are more than brilliant.

"Wasting the Dawn" rocks!
