These artists deliver, July 4, 2004
This review is from: Watch for the Hook (Audio CD)
Yup, all 8 of them. The four Goodie Mob-sters, Outkast, Witchdoctor and of course, Cool Breeze all deliver brief, but great performances on "Watch For The Hook". Dre of Outkast begins things with a tight intro, with Witchdoctor, Big Gipp, T-Mo, Big Boi, and Cool Breeze all deliver short but sweet verses (I use the term "verses" loosely). Cee-Lo and Khujo sort of deliver bridges in between everyone elses verses, and while solid, they both, Cee-Lo especially, rap WAY too fast for their own good to the point where they mumble a jumble of incomprehensable lyrics. Still, this is one great track with a hard beat that uses sparse sampling to spice things up. Watch for "Watch For The Hook".

"Watch for the Hook" is one of the best singles I've heard so far this year. The beat is extremly good, and Outkast and Goodie Mob adds a special touch to the song. Buy this if you're into phat hip-hop!

The "C" Stands For Cool Breeze, Known As The Champ (Rating: 9 out of 10- -4.5 stars), December 18, 2006
This review is from: Watch for the Hook (Audio CD)
1999, I was 13 years old listening to the 97.5 (or whats now 107.9) here in Atlanta, when I heard a song. I thought it was a Goodie Mob song that got left out on their "Still Standing" album but it wasn't. Then I saw the video maybe a couple of days later, and I saw some guy's name called Cool Breeze name appear. Then I recognized him from a couple of appearances, mainly on Outkast albums ("Decatur Psalm" and "Slump").
Four years later I see this vinyl single in a local record store for about $2.00 and snatched it up. This song was so refreshing to my ears that day, even up until 2006. The artists here do bring their A game. Especially Big Boi, he outshines everyone including Cool Breeze. Other artists like Andre Benjamin and The Goodie Mob do a good job handling verses throughout this song. Cool Breeze comes in at the end of the song.
The reason I gave it 4.5 is because, as I said before, Cool Breeze was outshined by Big Boi of Outkast. Especially in a song with a format that everyone rhymes and he comes in last then the chorus comes at the end, usually the last verse is supposed to be the best. It's sad though because he's mostly known for this hit single here. He, as well as another ATL artist named Witchdoctor, were both talented artists that were swept under the rug. This single came off his only album "East Point Greatest Hit", an album that really didn't get much love. If you can snatch that album up, because you will be impressed.

The song is the bomb, March 1, 1999
By A Customer

The song is the bomb because it has OutKast and Goodie Mob in it. I like it because of the background music. Also, me and my cousins always say Cornbread instead of what they say in the background.
