Book Description

Keep your enemies close...

After enduring a horrific loss, Tiffy is reluctant to trust men. All she wants is her independence and to put her past behind her, but a chance encounter with Keric O'Neill changes all that. The only problem is the handsome Lycan rebuffs her advances, so she's understandably wary when he returns to her territory two years later.

All Keric wants is to find out who is responsible for his brother's disappearance. Only he doesn't know what to do about the attraction between him and the girl he's been unable to forget, and who threatens to sidetrack him.

Keric is unaware of the danger he is in, or what his bid for revenge will do to Tiffy. When Keric's secrets and betrayal come to light, will revenge and vindictive pack members destroy everything they have come to value?

Watch Me Silke Juppenlatz

Available from Sept 3rd 2012 as ebook.
I was given this copy by author free for review, but as always on the basis that my opinion is honestly held, and whether paid for or free my views are not influenced by that. Integrity is important to me and gushing false reviews do neither author or reader any favours. As always my views are what I honestly feel about this book.

An enjoyable book in the paranormal romance genre. The novel is based around werewolf characters, and its just up my street as far as reading goes so I was looking forward to getting my teeth into this. It follows an earlier book - I've not read that but was able to follow this story regardless as its basically a stand alone one, and when it does refer to past events they are explained clearly so that we understand and can put events into context.

In the last book Tiffany had endured a horrific loss where her father died and so currently lives with her sister and husband, the pack Alpha. Because of past events they are very protective of her, and though she loves them she feels stifled and isn't always the obedient sister. Sneaking out one day when she is 16 she seems a handsome stranger, one Keric O'Neill but he rebuffs here friendly approach and when she comes across him two years later she's wary of him. Keric is very attracted to her, was then but thought she was too young but his main purpose in coming is to find out about the disappearance of his brother. Whilst doing that he also finds his attraction to Tiffany growing strongly. In the tradition of all the best love stories of course he doesn't know the part his brother played in Tiffany's past tragedy and Tiffany doesn't know that he's related to the man that caused such upheaval in the pack. By coming there he is in great danger from pack members who see him as a threat, and warn him off. When secrets are finally revealed feelings of betrayal are felt by Tiffany, although Keric couldn't help it when he didn't know what had happened so didn't intend upsetting her. While they are dealing with this the more vindictive pack members are out for revenge on Keric, some having overstepped their Alphas instructions regarding Keric two years back. Its Romeo and Juliet with a twist!

An enjoyable book with a HEA, containing multiple plots but none of which had any great depth. They fitted together well, leading onto the next section seamlessly. Some parts were easy to spot in what was going to happen and others kept me guessing. I did feel there could have been a little more drama in the book - each event seemed to be glossed over very quickly without any real angst or tangles. That's just my taste though :) I'm a sucker for bad boys and a bit of darkness and tears - so long as I get my HEA in the end... and others just want something easy to read for a train journey or something. I'm an avid reader and like books that contain depth and are long, that will take me into another world for a few hours and that I'll re read over and over. This one was a great read to pass a few hours but doesn't fit that criteria to make it into my favourites.

Its well edited and pretty much error free, is $4.99 for 137 pages and available as an ebook. I'm giving it four stars as though it was enjoyable and easy to read I found it too superficial and undemanding in the plot for me to give five stars. As always its horses for courses though and someone looking for a quick and easy book to while away a few hours without too much heavy going will be happy with it as it is.

5.0 out of 5 stars Easy read March 12, 2013

The book was an easy read. It had some minor spelling mistakes but they don't take away from the story. The plot is strong and the characters are life like. I really enjoyed it.
