Book Description

October 14, 2004
Let the squeamish beware!

Watch Your F*cking Language takes a no-holds-barred approach to taboo words and expressions. It shows you how to use them to your advantage -- and have fun doing so. Building on the lessons learned in English as a Second F*cking Language, this book emphasizes traditional English swears as well as powerful (and hidden) expressions from other cultures and languages.

Through numerous examples, it puts the real language of real people into context:

FLOYD: I just heard a Dan Quayle speech. It was really f*cking confusing.
RUBY: I just got back from a Mongolian cluster f*ck. It was really confusing f*cking.

The name of the game is communication, and Watch Your F*cking Language shows readers how to hammer home their messages with confidence and gusto.

Among its features:

*Numerous examples of proper (and so-called improper) usage
*An Idioms section that emphasizes the niceties of swearing
*A "Need to Know, "Nice to Know," and "Forget It" system for identifying swear words
*A Final F*cking Exam

5.0 out of 5 stars Pulls it off (so to speak), November 18, 2004

This review is from: Watch Your F*cking Language: How to swear effectively, explained in explicit detail and enhanced by numerous examples taken from everyday life (Paperback)
This book had the potential to be merely tasteless, but I am happy to report that it is tasteless AND hilarious. The examples for each usage really make the book:

Under "cornhusking":

Clem: What's taking you so long in there, boy?
Chad: I'm husking corn, Dad.
Clem: You keep doing that, you'll go blind.
Chad: I know. I'm going to quit soon as I need glasses.

That's one of the few I can quote. This slim tome is not for the faint of heart, but if a little vulgar language doesn't put you off (OK, a LOT of vulgar language, but used correctly), check this out. You'll find yourself picking up a few copies for certain friends that will invariably come to mind.

Once again, Dr. Johnson has elucidated some of the darkest (and funniest) corners of the human mind and human speech. His "grasp" of the language is impressive, his "ear" for subtleties true, and his "delivery" powerful and overwhelming. I think Dr. Johnson should start an Institute for Correct Speech, Thinking and Living. His example shines before the world like a beacon of sanity in the darkness of this gloomy age.

This book made me laugh so hard I p*ssed in my pants. Now I keep it in the bathroom with English as a Second F*ucking Language, where filfhy literature like this belongs.
