AWESOME CD, April 5, 2008

Chris was commercially best known for the toe tapping dance of "Cadillac Ranch" as well as the title cut with Garth...but this CD is deep in so much more.
From the opening howl of "Call Of The Wild" this is Chris at his most real and storytelling best. The word pictures in this song are incredible...then leading in to what isn't seen but is there in "You Just can't See Him From The Road" - an ode to the working cowboy still riding horses and doing things by had. "Little Long Haired Outlaw" kicks it back up then an anthem for all the "normal people" he never forgot in "Making Ends Meet". "Look At You Girl" is suitable for weddings everywhere - a shame more people didn't hear this song! "Western Skies" hides nothing in Chris' devotion to his ranch and home.
This is listed with "Under This Old Hat" - which also has several awesome cuts from "Get Back On That Pony" to "She's Tough." These are two CD's that are for anyone who likes country living, country music and stories. For those who have had "one or two good horses that he counts among his friends" - that know the value of a good dog and a handshake means something this CD is for you. With a great mix of upbeat songs and ballads it's one for the player, not the shelf!
