An old house, remote and solitary, its peace broken by the crash of Atlantic rollers and frequent storms of equatorial Africa. It is inhabited by two old people, who care for nothing but the past. To this house come unexpected guests who brin echoes of old loves and hates; the lure of money; an emerald called "The Jealous Eye"; and the stench of blood...as murder is committed at the Maison Abrassart.
