brilliantly spacious
watchful is simply one of the best cds i own. robert rich displays his amazing ability to blend electronics, often sparse guitar, and natural sounds to create something worth well beyond the sum of its parts. even with all the electronics featured on this disc, rich still seems to create an overall feeling of nature-based, raw, introspective sounds. amazing.

this is a pretty good cd of lumbering melodies and droney atmosphere. my favorite song is the second track "skin" which has a sort of mellow new age king crimson feel to it. it's not proggy or anything...it's just smooth and flowing and intricate in it's own simple, subtle way. i don't play this cd much but when i do i tend to like it okay. but sometimes the vocals tend...
