About the Author

Sheila Singleton, LMSW, lives in Brooklyn with her fiancé and sister, where she is a project director for a caregiver?s program in Brooklyn. She received a bachelor?s degree in psychology from St. Francis College and a master?s degree in social work from the Wurzweiler School of Social Work. Singleton has completed two years of postgraduate study at the Ackerman Institute for the Family.

Watchful Eyes - A Caregiver's Companion By Sheila Singleton is a warm heartfelt true story based on her experiences taking care of her sister Nancy who was diagnosed with schizophrenia. This book provides helpful tips on how to be an effective care giver. It is a wonderful guide for anyone who has to care for a loved one. It provides tips on what to do and what not do and it also shares the importance of learning how to take care of your self. We learn from Sheila's experience about many of the challenges and the triumphs that can happen during this sometimes seemingly daunting process. We learn from this special book that there are services and support systems available to help. Odds are at some point it is a situation that any one could face.
