I am amazed,
By Matthew Fish (Bloomington, IL) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Watching Waiting (Audio CD)
Todd Carey's album 'Watching, Waiting' is one of those rare CD's that you come across where every song on the album is is as enjoyable, if not more so, than than the previous song. This album is simply amazing from it's high energy songs such as 'Friday Nights' and 'Falling From Grace' to it's more moving, soulful songs like 'Watching Waiting' and 'King of Cliche'. Overall, I would say that this is one of the best albums that I've ever had the pleasure of listening to, and I can't wait for future releases.

This is an outstanding album. It has spent most of the last few months in my CD player and I never get tired of it. Every song is a stand out and demonstrates Mr. Carey's total control of his craft. He is an amazing guitarist and songwriter and I can't wait to hear what he brings us next.
Everyone needs to hear this album!

Solidly crafted rock/pop.,

I actually feel privileged to own a copy of this so soon after its release date because I am convinced that everyone will be listening to it soon enough. Mr. Carey clearly spent a significant amount of time on this record; his passion shows on every song. His lyrics are excellent, ranging from lighthearted and inspirational to heart wrenching. Standouts include Elaine, Watching Waiting and Photograph. The music is fantastic too - I challenge you not to tap your foot and smile suring Friday Night or Ain't Got Love. And Falling From Grace will have you singing in the shower. You'll be hearing this album on every radio station soon enough, so you might as well pick it up now and be ahead of the curve.
