I purchased this book in Yellowstone while visiting for a little less than a week, there were certain animals I really wanted to see before I left. This was helpful, we enjoyed alot of the places it suggested to us but we didn't see the animals we were searching for in each of them. This book also helped me identify some of the animals and I learned alot about this animals because of this book. It gives you a map, tells you about the animals, gives to sample footprints, and tells you where your most likely to see certain animals.
I'm not a pro at searching for animals or anything and this book was straight forward and very easy to understand. I would recommend it to anyone planning a trip to Yellowstone.

I purchased this book, looking for detailed info on the wildlife in Yellowstone, and I was not disappointed.
Every page contains information needed to visit the park, and see the wildlife. Easy to read, easy to follow, and a must take to the park. We have never been to Yellowstone, and want to be as informed as possible so as not to miss any of the animals, especially the wolves.

There isn't too much in here that is off topic.The sighting areas and season, time of day and variety of wildlife you might see appears pretty complete. Especially for a first time visitor to Yellowstone and environs. Really an aid for what equipment to pack, also for a less than hiking capable visitor lots of roadside sighting possibilities ensures this old guy isn't afraid to make the trip. Looking forward to seeing America's BEST Park! I thought Yosemite had it all, but there is so much more to see in these two parks. A definite first time visitors necessary guide.
