This review is from: Watching You (Audio CD)
I own the entire Danny Bryant catalog and there's not a bad CD in the bunch. This may well be the best. Watching You and Heartbreaker are the two standouts on this CD. If you like lots of guitar, intelligent lyrics and catchy rhythyms that stick in your head, then give Danny a try. Danny sounds remarkably close to the style of Walter Trout of which I also own the entire catalog. And, actually I do believe that Walter mentored him at the start of his career. They even do a duo on the Days Like These CD that you better know your musician well to distinguish which solos are whos. I've seen Walter in concert twice and would love to see Danny. I've emailed him a few times and he always writes back and says that he wants to do some U.S. shows, but the that there is a never ending stack of paperwork each time he returns from touring. I love the U.S. even with all it's faults and overkill on paperwork for even the simplest of requests being one of them. Sure hope he makes it here. I will catch a show if he comes.
