5.0 out of 5 stars Love 'em
I ordered these some time ago, and everyone at the pool asks about them. I tell them how to find you - don't know if any have. They are great, and everyone who tries them, myself included, agree they are better than the barbells

2.0 out of 5 stars I wish it came with instructions
I will change my review to more stars if I can use the paddles as intended. There were no instructions and I can't find anything worth while online. The way I am using them they are pretty much no better than my webbed swim gloves - if that good.

I have to use these paddles for my water physical therapy. They work great. The plastic is really sturdy. The fan part takes a little muscle to turn, but no big deal. Enjoy!

I use the paddles for therapy. They helped to tighten my arms as well as when using them I can feel how they helped to releave the pressure I have in my neck.

4.0 out of 5 stars Serve their purpose well, November 27, 2011

We replaced a set we had had for five years and these look identical but they aren't quite as comfortable to use (grip, ease of adjustment, etc) and the plastic seems a little cheaper. But for water therapy they do the job.

5.0 out of 5 stars Terrific water exercise tool, November 3, 2011

These water paddles are designed to create water resistance so they can be used for water exercises. They are cheap, simple and highly effective. The hand grip in the center allows you to grasp the paddle firmly and in a variety of angles. While I never use them, each paddle has an adjustable "fan" setting that controls how much water resistance is created. I always keep the fans closed for maximum resistance and vary my push against them to find the right level of resistance. There are an unlimited number of exercises possible with these paddles. By getting down low (neck level) in the water, you can find many different angles and modes of moving the paddles around. It's possible to work almost any muscle in your body, including abdominal and leg muscles by bending, twisting and striding, with the paddles creating the resistance. I've found it useful to perform one exercise to a point where the muscles are getting tired, then vary the angle of movement to work another set of muscles. You can simulate exercises from a variety of activities or exercise machines: waving or flapping arms like wings, pushing water back and forth like rowing, punching, twisting, turning... the list is endless. I feel like I bought an entire gym in these two little paddles. Of course, your activity is limited to being in water, but given that, they are fantastic! Every water exercise or water aerobic instructor or student should try these paddles.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good Workout, October 17, 2011

These paddles are great for exercising in the water. They give more resistance than the water dumbbells that float.

I was using the water dumbbells and thought I was doing well... untill my physical therapist told me they were actually assisting my upward movements because they float. These paddles do a much better job and get his seal of approval as well.

Got the paddles quicker than expected. Was little disappointed in that there were no basics instructions on how to use them. However, took them to the pool this AM and was able to get a good workout of pecs, lats, biceps and triceps. May try using them to swim breast stroke.

Basically very happy with the product.
