My 5 year old twins and 3 year old love this and swim alone with 2 bubbles each.

I like the belt style as it keeps them afloat (with supervision) and still gives them freedom of movement so they can learn to tread water and swim on their own.
Michael Miller
Tightened belt as much as possible but belt still tends to ride up (not stay at waist level).

The bouancy of the belt is very good and the quality is good, I bought the belt with only three segments thinking it would fit my 3 year old better than the 4 segment belt. WRONG. Depending on where you put the three segments (since it is hard to equally place them) it flips her either forward forcing her face in the water (which she is not ready for) or backward making it hard for her to learn to swim. If I had purchased the larger belt I could place one segment on each side and one in back and balance it with one also in front. It is a good product if you can balace the floating segments. I plan to buy the 4 segmented one since the 3 segments are basicallly worthless to me.

I am mid forties and had never swam before. I had a fear of the water but wanted to overcome it and learn to swim. I started with a life vest to get comfortable. I soon wanted something that was less helpful but would give me confidence to keep trying. This belt was the ticket. I had to really work to get my head under water which gave me the courage to keep learning. Three weeks was all it took for me to take the belt off and go solo. I never thought I would be able to move from end to end in a pool. Thanks to this swim belt, I was able to overcome my fear of water and swim.

These are fantastic belts for teaching children how to swim. They offer mobility and support and have the ability to lessen the support as time goes on. I taught swimming for years and this is the product I'd recommend.

I just purchased both the three and four module swimbelts to have around camp when we have company. We are expecting a 77 year old aunt and a 10 year old granddaughter in a few weeks and these will be excellent to make lake swimming more comfortable for them. I tried the 3 module and it held me up nicely (well over 160 pounds). I would like to see a stretchy belt that would help the modules stay put better.

Although my husband and I both are used to swimming in the lake, we both use a better version of the spongex belt that is one piece. We both can swim but lack the stamina that we had when we were younger. The belts that we use have stretchy belts and one piece of spongex that wraps around your back (or front if you desire). These are more comfortable and stay in place but they were more than THREE times the price.

All in all these cubed belts are a great swimming aid and can work well for adults and kids that need a bit more "security" or are learing to swim. At this price, they are definitely worth a try to see if they work for you.

We purchased this swim belt after being introduced to it during our four year olds swim lessens. Not only was it a great aid then but even more so when using it on our own. We would highly recomend this to anyone whos child has difficulty staying afloat when vertical, but wants to be on there own when swimming.

Since having back surgery, I've been using the 4-module belt for therapy in the pool. It's very lightweight, folds up to put in my backpack for travel and keeps my 160+ lbs. afloat very easily. I highly recommend it.

THe swim belt I ordered was awesome. Perfect for my 3 year old to learn how to swim. The great thing about it is that you can adjust their bouyancy. Take one or two of the floaty squares off and they have to try to swim a little harder. It also helps them keep the correct body position for learning how to swim.

I was a little skeptical while picking up the product but it is exactly what I needed.

The reviews talked about it being a prefect product for kids, except for 1 reviewer who is a 45yr old. Going by his word I picked this up for my Husband who is learning to swim. And... I must say he just loves it. DH says it helps him stay afloat while he is learning to synchronize his legs, hands and breathing.

The 4 blocks are huge enough to hold a healthy male's weight, with a belt which would fit an XL male too.

Would highly recommend this for all age groups.

With this Belt DH would be a swimmer in 3 weeks...
