great book. my daughter 8 loves reading this book and finds the tidbits fascinating and arranged orderly on the page...it is a great chronicle as it takes the reader through 24 hours on a great plain with all the animals that exist there. My daughter has an advanced reading level but never tire of the simplistic books that really tell a story, in so many words. really good as a read aloud too...enjoy
