Angelo Badalamenti a classically-trained performer, is best known for his hauntingly atmopsheric work with filmmaker David Lynch. The two worked together on the soundtrack of the director's 1986 masterpiece Blue Velvet and on the features Wild at Heart, Lost Highway and The Straight Story. Perhaps the most famous fruit of their collaboration was the cult hit television series Twin Peaks, for which Badalamenti created one of the most distinctive and evocative theme songs in TV history.

Her new apartment - dilapidated, cramped, and worn - seems to take on a life of its own. As Dahlia frantically searches for the links between the riddles the dark water seems to close around her. Angelo Badalamenti has done an exceptional job with this soundtrack score. I would describe the music as haunting, gripping, subtle and chilling. Basically, what one would expect from a score of this genre. Although there are no real surprises, the music gets the job done of creating the perfect atmosphere for the film. Many songs start off softly and slowly build up. I don't give it 5 stars for the simple fact that it's somewhat predictable. But I'll reiterate that as a whole, it's worth getting if you're into this type of score.

Long live Jennifer Connelly.

the themes here are pretty basic.i think the second composer must've added -in the electronics,because they often conflict with ange's work.good disc for halloween,or the badalamenti completist.not "bad" by all means though!
