If possible, water should be boiled and re-cooled before adding water purification tablets, however tablets are still even without boiling. Each bottle contains enough tablets to purify more than 30 gallons of water, either all at once or by the gallon as needed.

Don't know how well they work until I have to use them, God forbid. they are part of my survival kit. Looks like the same bottle of tablets I bought and used in the Boy Scouts and they worked fine.
