Blue Jeans Water-Resistant Outdoor Camping Blanket with Carrying Case 7 Feet X 4.5 Feet

This is the biggest water resistant blanket I can find in the market. It is great for picnic. The size is big enough for 6 people. I like the blue jean top. It is made of 100% cotton, so soft all the time.

This is about the 10th item I've gotten from Amazon recently that I never would have bought if I had been able to see it in advance. The vendor calls it "Blue Jeans..." and the description describes it as denim, but it is nothing of the kind.

The side you sit on is made of a thin material whose only resemblance to denim is that it is blue (it doesn't even look like it is made of cotton), and the other side is an ostensibly water resistant synthetic material, but it is also very thin and I doubt it will resist much water. In the middle there must be some batting, because the blanket is quite thick, making it about the size of a grocery bag when it is folded and stuffed into the carry sack. It's bulky size is actually inconvenient it takes up too much room in the car.

Note about Amazon: Amazon should exercise better quality control and make these vendors who sell through Amazon provide more pictures and more accurate descriptions. I'm really fed up with getting stuff that isn't what it purports to be (so maybe I've vented more on this product than I should, but it is part of a rash of such products).

It feels good to have such a comfortable blanket in my boyfriend trunk.

I was hesistant to purchase this blanket at first since I wasn't sure if it would be big enough. My reason for purchasing is a little different............I needed a water resistant couch cover for my loveseat AND couch. I purchased two! I have a cat that (on occassion) will use my couch inside of his litter box. All the pet protectors I have found are either unattractive or not water-resistant. This one is both. I love the denim color. Even though my couch is brown, this works nicely for everyday use.

I desperately needed a waterproof blanket for my bed. I have cats and a dog and needed something to protect the blankets - especially since one of them is incontinent. Plus, my dog gets in the snow and gets her wet, muddy feet on the bed before I can catch her. It is the dead of winter and I cannot be washing my blankets all the time.

Finding a waterproof blanket was NOT easy. Many were too expensive, or the quality was so poor, these blankets would have come apart after the first wash.

On another site, I found a blanket specifically for pets - but it was $200. No way was I paying that much for it - especially sight unseen. After some searching on Amazon, I discovered this camping blanket for a fraction of the price. I decided to give it a try.

The first night, it paid off. Absolutely no liquid came through the water-resistant nylon backing. None. I didn't even have this good of luck with mattress covers I've used in the past. The blanket nearly covered my queen mattress - but not quite. I'm ordering another one for added protection. Well, that and the fact that my dog LOVES this blanket. I wake up in the morning and she has it curled around her.

It is fairly sturdy, but it isn't super thick; don't expect it to be extremely warm by itself on a cold night. I do think it is thick enough to sit on the grass outside for picnics, but if you are in super rocky terrain, it might get a little uncomfortable.

For those with kids who need a mattress cover, this blanket might be a good alternative. Mattress covers can be extremely expensive and, many times, they don't work. This blanket doesn't have that crinkling noise that most mattress covers have (which keeps me awake at night), and the jean material is much softer to lay on. It is large enough that it should cover a child's bed.

It also comes with a carrying case for those who want to use it outdoors.

I am a 6' tall woman, and this blanket was enough for me to be able to spread out on and sunbathe with room to spare. It was comfortable with just me on it. I don't know how the other reviewer got 6 people on this blanket without turning it into a game of Twister, because it's not going to work comfortably for more than two people. It's a nice blanket and the carrying bag is very helpful, I'll definitely take it with me for camping, picnics, and sunbathing. I'm happy with my purchase.

This blanket, while comfortable, is A LOT smaller than expected. Definitely not the 7 feet that it says it is...

This blanket was an incredible buy. I've used it 5 times outdoors in March and April alone. It's easy to fold, the carry case is large enough for the blanket. The nylon is double stitched to the denim, so far its pretty sturdy. At 20.00, it has more than paid for itself.
I would buy another for myself, would give them away.

I have to say, when I took it out of it's carrying case I was quite disappointed. I bought it to take to the park and lay on with my 2 dogs and boyfriend and I'd be lucky if the two of us could fit on it let alone the dogs. I'm a fairly tall girl but not big in any other way and I'd say the blanket was a good size just for myself. When I think of picnic blanket I think of really spreading out and relaxing. You just cannot do that on this blanket. It is very well made and the top fabric is very comfortable I am just disappointed with it's size.
