I bought a 6 pack of these Frigidaire water filters so I would have enough to last 2-3 years.
They can be used for approximately 6 months before needed replacement. I did notice that the
filters really should be changed maybe around 4-5 months instead. The signs of it needed changing
is when the water flow seems slower and the stream is not as forceful as normal. They are very
easy to remove and replace in my Frigidaire side by side. When I saw how much Lowes wanted for
the same filters, I decided to purchase these on Amazon from a trusted seller.
I highly recommend these filters for general water filtering.
If you want a special filter that removes all chemicals including Fluorine, be prepared to
spend a lot more.

We moved into a new home which has a 9 yr-old fridge and needed replacement filters. The price on these was great, shipped fast and all of the filters were factory sealed. That being said, after installing the first filter and using it for about a week we noticed something definitely didn't taste right about the water. I took out the filter, which had developed a dime sized rust-looking spot on it (on the outer white mesh). I replaced it with another one of the filters, and we already can taste a difference. So it appears we had a "dud" filter and not sure how many of the remaining ones could be the same.. I'm still rating this 3 stars due to the price/quantity and fast shipping. Even if we only get 1-2 good filters, it's still cheaper than one retail filter at Lowes or Home Depot.

It is what it is, great shipping undamaged in origanal package. If you want a good water filter for the price this is the place to get it.

It is difficult to say how well the product works. I am not a chemist, but it does seem to make the water purer, and the ice cubes come out clear.

These Filter did the same job as the once you would buy at Walmart, Lowes, Home Depot or any other Retail store, but for the price of one at the retail store, I bought 6 replacements... I have used 2 so far and they are great!!!

For the cost it hard to fault the product. They don't seem to significantly alter the water that passes through. Seems to be getting the big stuff. We really didn't have a water issue in the first place.......

So in summary....GOOD enough.

The filters work perfectly and are very easy to install. Received shipment super fast, will definitely purchase my next replacements from this merchant. Overall, super experience.

It never fails to amaze me... Buying online @ Amazon has saved me soooo much money it is staggering. These filters are exactly the same thing you can buy at your local outlet, but @ a savings of almost 75%. It just proves the saying "you get what you paid for" isn't always correct!!!

Lowe's is charging $34 for one of these filters. I can get 6 here for less than $40! Water after using this filter is as good as water using the expensive version. Why pay more?

Received the product very quickly and even though I've only had it in the refrigerator for 2 weeks, it works well so far.
