quick delivery, only difference is it only covers 300 gallons, rather than 500 gallons with the factory oem filter

I am a a/c - fridge tech. I do not like non OEM products as a rule for these items since they sometimes have a short life or can cause problems with units even if they fit. However, instead of paying up to $69.00 for LG's OEM LT 500 P, I read the reviews people posted who bought this filter. Other then it cycles less gallons then the OEM and may not have the additional micro filter as the OEM, I was able to purchased from this vendor a twin pack for $37.50 and free shipping. Less then $19.00 each. If both this filters lasted as long as the OEM, I still save $30.00. I took a chance and purchased these filters. They fit my fridge perfectly and no leaks. After bleeding the filter for 15 minutes, the water came out crystal clear. Since buying it in June, it has performed perfectly. I do have a 5 year line filter on my main water supply which I got from Home Depot twice and did last 5 years to catch the microbs smaller then any other filter and this cost $30.00. This filter origionally was for our drinking water and I just started the second one a few days ago after I installed the non OEM fridge filter. The water and ice from the WSL-1 came out as clear, odorless, and no bad taste for a month before I put the other line filter on as a backup. I could not tell the difference between this filter from WaterSentinel and the more expensive professional filter. I will check the fridge filter in 6 months and change it with the second one it came with just to cut it open and see what it caught the first six months and re-comment back here again. Bottome line I went over 300 words to say this is a good deal either way. Do not use any other vendor since some of them take forever to ship and no guarentee. I received the WaterSentinel in 7 days of ordering and they were new. Hope this helps.

I don't know what fridge we have but I know it's a Kenmore which is actually made by LG and I assume that because I needed LG filters that cost me my first child.

Thank the sweet lawd for these at like 1/2 the price. Fit perfectly and the water still tastes like water.

I bought a three pack of these due to the very attractive price. These filters are rated for 300 gallons/3 months and i think the factory one (LG) is rated for 500gallons/ 6 months.

Once filter was installed, you can for sure taste the difference and tell the water is cleaner again. However i did notice the pressure was not as strong as i recall the factory one being. No biggie. However roughly one month later, the taste quality started going down and the pressure has also. So popped in another one and was good to go again. This time i got two months out of it before it went downhill again.
I wanna mention, its just my wife and I and we dont really use it a whole lot so i dout we were getting even close to 300 gallons.

Overall i guess im not impressed with these filters. For the price there great for a temp use, but it might be better ignoring the price and get the real deal that will last you as long as three of these will.

This filter is the perfect replacement for the expensive LG filter. Does the same job, water tastes fine. Works like a champ.

Typically we have replaced filters after six months (and probably a little longer), but his one had to be replaced in less than two months. This is a false economy - you pay less but have to replace it three times more frequeantly.

The product shipped fast and it was exactly what I thought I had purchased. Very pleased with my order.

Not much to say. I hate replacing these expensive filters, so if I can find them cheap, I'll buy 2 or 3 at a time. These work great in my LG refrigerator and seem to last a good while.

First, I went to Home Depot where I bought the LG refrigerator. I was told that they do not stock these filters and was also not told that I could order them. So I went looking online. My first stop in online shopping is always Amazon.com. There were several products for sale at different prices and in different quantities, so I chose the one that I viewed as the best "deal". I easily replaced the old one with one of the new ones and I still have a spare for sometime down the road. I don't need to replace them every 6 months as suggested by the packaging because I have a "whole house water filter" in the line before the refrigerator, which pre-filters all the water used in the house. I always seem to find exactly what I am looking for at Amazon.com, and this time was no exception. A good product at a good price - and AVAILABLE!!!!

This product fit perfectly in my fridge and was replaced in a matter of minutes. Works just as well as the factory model. Will definitely purchase again.
