Fun toy. My kids like it., December 15, 2010
This review is from: R/C Water Soaker - Green by Swimways (Toy)
This little R/C Soaker looks like a space ship and does exactly what they say it does. It glides along on top of water, rotates, turns. The canon moves up and down and shoots a long stream of water. I wasn't expecting a whole lot; because according to other reviews, the Soaker didn't sound like it moved much at all. It does move. 2 mph isn't all that bad and fast enough to satisfy my children. We have a large hot tub and my six and nine year-olds have been having fun playing with it in there.
The Soaker uses one rechargeable battery pack, which is included, or one may substitute four AA batteries. The remote control needs one 9 volt battery, which is not included.
According to the instructions, the batteries must be removed and the unit stored with the battery cover off to allow it to dry. This necessitates the removal of nine screws, which is a little inconvenient. Other than that, I think it's great. This one belongs to my daughter. My son wants one now.

This is a great water toy and I really liked how it worked and how much fun it was, the dog loved the water squirt gun. This is a pool toy and worked like a charm for the first season, always took it indoors after use and emptied the water out of it. The second season it was hard to turn it on. The third season, since I live up north and we have snow etc. Only used it in the Summer time, It would not turn on, new batteries, nothing. I have a degree in eletronics and took it apart and found out that the on off switch leaked and rusted and eventually shorted out. Tried to get a new replacement switch to no avail. Paid over $100.00 for it. May get another one if they lower the price.
