5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent, March 6, 2007

This review is from: Water Treatment: Principles and Design (Hardcover)
This book covers all the theory and application in an outstanding way without getting too simple or complex. The book is coherent, very well organized, and filled with excellent tables and graphs. Great examples as well. I have nothing negative to say about this text.

Used at all major educational and research institutions. Belongs on every Water Treatment Engineer's desk. Extensive coverage on all areas, but does not cover wastewater. This field distinguishes between wastewater treatment, which is the treatment of water that has been used residentially, commercially and industrially so that it can be properly reintroduced to the water cycle, and water treatment, which is the process of treating water before it is considered potable for consumption. For wastewater, see the classic Metcalf and Eddy text.

5.0 out of 5 stars Water Treatment Textbook. Great Examples for questions., February 15, 2011
This review is from: Water Treatment: Principles and Design (Hardcover)
I have just begun to use this textbook in a graduate level Physical & Chemical Wastewater treatment course at MT Tech. So far I have found Ch 9 to be very useful in solving many of the problems I have ran into in the past. Following along in the examples is very user friendly and there have been minimal typo mistakes relative to other texts i have used before.
This is definitely an engineer's textbook. I find the layout to be exceptional with regard to spacing, format, and labeling. This is definitely a book I will not return to the Bookstore!
