Book Description

May 1, 2000
After forty years of study, the author has developed coherent interpretations of how surface water most likely integrates the motions and interactions of the major classes of molecules in the living cell. Over 120 accurate, computer-drawn images of molecules and water are used to illustrate the symbiotic manner in which they interact to provide for spontaneous assembly and orderly function.

About the Author

Dr. Collins received his degrees from Wayne University and the University of Wisconsin. After employment at General Motors Research, E. I. Dupont and Illinois Wesleyan University (as Chairman of the Dept. of Chem.) he directed research at Sterling Drug for 20 years. He has a number of publications and patents to his credit and a reaction technique named after him. However, natural molecular shape and function have been his primary interest for many years. In 1991 he published "The Matrix of Life" for peer review.
