Glaciers in Alaska, Beluga whales in Canada, reefs in Bora Bora and ocean waves in Muai are just some of ways Wolfe shows us water, the source of all life. The complementary essays on water illustrate its significance through folklore and poetry.'

This review is from: Water: Worlds Between Heaven & Earth (Hardcover)
I bought this book in a museum back in 1990 and absolutely love it. It really inspires my own photography, especially in the use of shutter speed. My mom spends hours studying the images when she visits, so I finally had to get her a copy of her own for her birthday last year. Of course she loves it. Amazon's the only place I could find it anymore. As far as Art Wolfe's photography, he has captured every conceivable form of H2O... a hundred times over. It's amazing how he sees "water". Categorizing it into water, ice and steam doesn't even come close to Art's perception. You will be amazed at the images in this very high quality book. I'm a very nit-picky amateur photographer, and can find no fault in the quality of the prints in this book. They're perfect. In fact, the images are so amazing, I think I've only read a couple short passages of the text, so I can't really comment on that. Get this book; you won't regret it. It will take its place ON TOP of all your other coffee table books. And yes, it's worth the $45. Cheers.
