Effective Power Flosser, September 19, 2009
In my experience, this power flosser works as well as the old Braun Oral B model that had an extending flosser element, and it works better than the WaterPik rechargeable model that was apparently discontinued.
For some reason, WaterPik rechargeable products don't seem to work very well. Though I haven't tried their most recent portable oral irrigator, the previous model had battery problems, as did their power flosser.
With this power flosser, I am using a NiMH AA rechargeable battery. It holds a charge for a number of weeks -- better than the WaterPik rechargeable -- and seems comparable in power and effectiveness to that model.
The whitening tips seem to help battle teeth stains as well.
In sum, this is the best power flosser on the market at this time, as far as I know, and I recommend it to anyone with problem gums.

best flosser for tight teeth, December 23, 2007
This review is from: WaterPik Battery Powered Flosser With Whitening Tips FLW-110, 1 ea (Health and Beauty)
I have always hated flossing but this makes it easy and quick! I have tightly spaced teeth but this can quickly vibrate around the bases of the teeth as well as between them. My dental hygienist sees a big improvement.

This is an outstanding product. You can change the batteries. There is a cheaper version where you cannot change the batteries. do not buy that one.
