I read this book when I was preparing for a home water birth with my second child. I loved the photos and stories in it. It ranks up there with Ina May's book on childbirth as the most inspirational labor-prep books I have read. The book was written by a traditional male OB/GYN who attended a water birth which transformed his ideas about childbirth, pushing him to become a water birth advocate. He details the main benefits of using water during labor and delivery. There is a section on types of tubs, as well as set up and clean up. He also describes water birthing in a home setting as well as a hospital/birth center setting. This books is a very educational and engaging read, and it cemented my desire to have a water birth. Highly recommended!
