This is a wonderful reference book for the artist who may be confused about what weight or type of paper to use for the medium they choose. I was trying to find the right paper to use for pen and ink with watercolour wash. The book has very clearly written explanations of each type of paper with wonderful illustrations to show the effect you will get using watercolour,wet on wet, washes or pen and ink. It even has sample papers in the back. I have spent more money than I care to admit on papers that either absorbed too much or buckled when wet. This small investment is going to allow me to choose correctly in the future.
