Joseph Stoddard (Pasadena, CA) is a graphic designer and artist living in Southern California. In his unique watercolor sketches and paintings, he aims to create an experience rather than just an image, charming his audience with expressive and colorful interpretations of the world around him. His art has been featured in several magazines, including American Artist Watercolor and Pasadena Magazine. Joseph has published two books that showcase his artwork, including Pasadena Sketchbook and Redlands Sketchbook. I am familiar with painting by the layers - and LOVE them. When I bought it - I thought that I will have step by step instruction how to do few paintings. It gives you techniques and some paint, doesn't tell you how to mix it to get the right shade... over all if I would know what is it before I bought it - I wouldn't buy it.
