This was not what I was looking for. I am a beginner and I wanted more instruction. This is a secondary book, some of the illustrations I could follow, some were beyond me.I still don't know how to blend the colours. I found The Complete Watercolor Pencil Set: Techniques, Step-by-Step Projects, Materialsmore helpful.

3.0 out of 5 stars Using watercolor pencils, July 29, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Watercolor Pencil (Artist's Library Series) (Paperback)
Title: Watercolor Pencil (Artist's Library Series) The author gives step- by- step direction for constructing a picture. She also lists the supplies/tools needed. I had hoped different techniques would be demonstrated on how to use the pencils, and other ways of using substances to paint on other than watercolor paper. This is one of several books I looked at available at Amazon pertaining to the use of water color pencils. jk
