You are paying for....,
This review is from: Waterfall Audio "Niagara" Diamond Glass Floor Standing Loudspeakers - Pair (Electronics)
Yo people..Dont get so bent out of shape. You are paying for the diamond glass. The speakers are only $119.00 per pair. I bought a pair of these beauties for my gameroom, and they certainly looked great, but unfortunately they didn't sound any better than my old Cerwin Vega speakers so I sent them back..The company called and gave me a hard time, but eventually I got my monies back. I am an investment banker who has been very lucky with investments and also an audiophile, so I wanted to buy something special just to say that I could actually afford something so outrageously expensive. Again, the speakers sound good, but certainly not worth the price (MY OPINION)..The diamond glass certainly looks great though..

Speakers v. Porsche Boxster or Corvette?,

This is a joke listing, right? Anyone who buys this, or worse yet, actually thinks that they are worth $50K+, needs to have their dose of Haldol upped. Some things are so inane that they either beg or be mocked, or fall into the "purchasing"realm of the incredibly ignorant. You could outfit the best home recording studio in the world for way less than this Objet d'Art...this tribute to stupidity and concupiscence. These are possibly competitors for charter membership in the "Jay Leno More Money Than Brains Club."Better move fast though...there is only one pair left. EDIT: Better yet, check this out...with the exception of the idiot-attracting glass...these are the fraternal twins of the Atohm SIROCCO 2-0, which has an MSRP of $2,995 each.

Well, I guess this offer pretends to shoot Amazon's customers and wait what shoots down. There isn't anyone -at our physical level of development- capable to build a laminated-transparent real diamond glass. By now, it's not possible, non practical and -economically- a wastage in resources to build a "diamond" cage. Moreover, the hypothetical sound produced through that kind of fictitious media would be incredibly strident, unpleasant and refractory and what we're looking for -as a good sound produced by a resonance box (like a a speaker box) - involves a cage capable to partially absorb a wide range of frequencies, bounce them back to the front and lateral/internal wave-shaped walls of a speaker and reproduce an amplified warm-real sound with a minimum of loss in frequencies (Note: You cannot get this effect with a crystal or a "diamond" cage). To the best of my knowledge, only some especially processed and well sculptured hard woods have the particular properties to produce that kind of sound. I'm astonished the way some e-stores accept some kind of vendors in their Market Place$$!

Heavenly Sound From God's Pinky Ring Stone of Choice!,

I first bought a pair of these with a bit of skepticism, seeing there are no dealers for this model and brand locally. I must say, WOW! WHAT A SOUND! These things truly deliver. We are talking highly detailed highs that coast out of the tweeter without coming off forced. The highs from these gems come through with a natural presence that isn't fatiguing or harsh. Down the band the mids transition in really well. A lot of novice audiophiles overlook midrange reproduction, but they are the most important part of the band as far as I am concerned, and boy do these speakers put their mouth where your money is. The mids are light and airy when listening to jazz vocals, and spring out of the speakers with excellent sound staging and dynamics when need be. The mid bass is overwhelmingly pleasant and just like the lower bass, it is controlled and tight and commanding. The lower bass is much deeper than you would expect. My friend owns a pair of Klipschorns and these things easily compete. I hear deep bas response that is as solid as it is believable. In fact, I don't even need my subwoofer from my Logitech computer speakaer set up with these. I have owned many audiophile speakers before, ranging from Sony, JVC, Ghettoblaster Boomboxes, Awia, Polk, and the list goes on, but these take the cake. If you want to pass up that next Yacht, Mercedes, or Rolex and settle on something truly beautiful to look at and hear, then by all means, give these a go. My wife said that I should be more altruistic and donate to Japan after their earthquake, or to Haiti after their's, or to some other relief fund to help people going through misery, but I can't justify why I would want to do that when I could own a few more pairs of these. I am thinking about 17 more pairs, hell, I might not stop until I have 2 pairs in every room and 1 or 2 in each bathroom of my mansion. They are that engaging. I can't wait to take a crap while listening to my favorite songs coming out a pair of these things and for them to be right next to me.

over priced hype,

This speaker system goes to show that if you build it and call it "audiophile" any idiot with $$$$ will buy it. In this economy, only a knuckle head would fork it out!!
