a different album that rediscovers the essence of love, April 17, 2000

This review is from: Waterfall (Audio CD)
I was truly exhausted when I finished listening to this album. The emotions commanded by each track reminds me of a jazz album and how the musical experience is a shared experience by the artist and the listener. I really thought I was just going to get spoken word poetry, but what I received was a Love Jones.
It was spiritually motivating in that every track represented an aspect of unconditional love (for self as well as for others). The cries and passions of one man communicated through his words, I've become a fan. The album is deep because it focuses on love, not sex, passive mobility, or lukewarm lullabies of oppression.
The musical vibe enhances the spoken word, the compostions move from smooth jazz to funky grooves, and the acappella arrangement of "blues 4 U" is so different, so deep, so enticing. I fully recommend this for your listening pleasures.
