The dual stems and elegant shade of the Waterford Crystal Thistle desk lamp are nothing less than glamorous, whether the piece is casting light on a grand library table or a side table in a great room. The lamp's cut crystal stems echo the thistle plant's graceful shape and feature a combination of diamond and flat cuts. They are supported and surrounded by weighty brass elements with fine detail work and a warm, mellow Versailles finish. In keeping with the double base, the lamp has dual S-arms with dangling chain pulls for the two light bulbs. It is topped by an extremely elegant, oval-shaped Maltese antique white Wilkshire shade that measures 17-1/2 by 13-1/2 by 10 inches and is trimmed in silky braid. Beautiful and gracious, the lamp takes up to two 60-watt bulbs for a total of 120 watts. Simple assembly is required. --Emily Bedard

This lamp is absolutely stunning. Although somewhat bulkier than its delicate appearance would suggest, the solid brass and crystal make it a heavy piece. Regardless, the lamp is postively beautiful and elegant.

This lamp is a super high quality item in contrast to other lamps I have purchased. No loose parts, no strange colors, no cheap construction. It's all good here. You can spend more and get less. I recommend you consider Waterford products. Unpacking this lamp, I was very impressed. First of all, the box was way oversized and the lamp was extremely well packed and although the box was damaged, the lamp was intact. It's a heavy lamp, very sturdy on your table. You don't want a light item to tip over. I have several other "pull chain" lamps by other manufacturers and I can tell you they feel like junk when you pull the chain. On these, you can feel the stability, and the feeling that the chain will not break off.

Hey, a lamp is a simple item. It should be easy to make quality lamps all the time. Unfortunately, this is not the case. Most of the ones I've tried are junk. Except this one. A keeper.
