Introduced by Waterford Crystal in 1994, the Belline table lamp is glamorous, airy, and bright. Its shape and size are suitable for grand or elegant rooms, while its structure and materials create a lovely diffuse illumination. The design starts with a smooth polished brass base, which supports the urn-like crystal body. Ample and beautiful, the crystal features a combination of vertical and diamond cuts that catch and refract light and color while disguising the lamp's inner mechanics. A soft-pleat coolie shade in white fabric tops the piece, casting a wide circle of light with its generous 20-inch diameter. Equipped with a three-way socket, the lamp is ideal for rooms that need different levels of light. It takes up to a 100-watt bulb and turns on with a rotating switch at the base of the socket. I RECEIVED ONE OF THESE LAMPS AS A GIFT WHEN I GOT MARRIED IN IRELAND SOME YEARS AGO AND WANTED ANOTHER ONE. UNFORTUNATELY I WAS UNABLE TO SOURCE THIS LAMP IN IRELAND! I WAS DELIGHTED TO BE ABLE TO SOURCE IT ON THE AMERICAN AMAZON SITE (AND THEN PROCEED TO HAND CARRY BACK TO IRELAND ON MY FLIGHT BACK) THE LAMP ITSELF IS EXQUISITE. I HAVE A QUITE MODERN/MINAMILISTIC BLACK SHADE ON THE LAMP AND IT FITS IN VERY WELL WITH MY CONTEMPORARY DECOR (THE LAMP WAS SUPPLED WITH A FABULOUS WHITE PLEATED SHADE). THE SIMPLE ELEGANCE OF THIS LAMP MEANS THAT IT WOULD FIT IN WELL WITH ANY DECOR. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS LAMP TO ANYONE WHO WANTS TO ADD A TOUCH OF CLASSY LIGHTING TO ANY ROOM.
