This pair of 10-1/2-inch crystal champagne flutes is one of four designs in Waterford's Celebration Collection. Waterford has been making renowned crystal pieces for more than 200 years, and the artisans draw upon centuries of tradition to find imagery for their designs. The Celebration Collection motifs of friendship, love, dreams, and joy are each separately represented on four matching sets of champagne flutes. This pair, the Second Edition, celebrates joy.

Long sweeping cuts reminiscent of cat-tails in the wind or, perhaps, like fireworks represent the exuberance of joyful feelings; this repeating motif encircles the bell of the flute. Beneath them, just above the stem, a field of diamond cuts represents individuals gathered together to share their mutual joy. The flutes are sold as a pair to emphasize their role as tasting glasses; when clinked against another glass in a toast, the Celebration Friendship flutes ring with the pure tone that indicates the finest crystal.

To preserve the clarity of crystal and to avoid scratches, do not wash in the dishwasher; harsh detergent and excessive heat could permanently etch surface of glass. Wash with a mild liquid soap in warm (not hot) water. Certain water may leave a lime or mineral deposit on the crystal; if that happens, vinegar on a soft, nonabrasive cloth will help remove the deposit. Rinse with warm water and polish with a lint-free cloth. Edges and rims are delicate; do not store upside down or place upside down on a draining board. When washing or drying, do not wipe bowl of flute while twisting stem in opposite direction. Crystal can focus sunlight into a concentrated beam that could potentially scorch rugs or furniture, so do not store or display in direct sunlight.
