Waterford's 2-by-3-inch Heart picture frame is a romantic enough gift for a new flame, but it can equally meaningful to a love of many years. Waterford has been making renowned crystal pieces for more than 200 years, and during that time they have created designs inspired by nature, mythology, and architecture. Their Wedding Heirloom Collection, which includes two sizes of pedestal bowl and a lovely Grecian-urn shaped vase, uses hearts as one of its recurring motifs. The two sides of the heart bending in toward one another to become one is, of course, a universal symbol for love.
The central panel of the Heart frame encloses a heart-shaped space; the backing can be used as a stencil to help trim a photo to fit in the frame. Between the photo window and the smooth, rounded edge of the frame lies a field of tiny, prismatic pyramid cuts, diagonally aligned to accentuate the long curves of the heart shape. A black velvet backing, easily removed by turning two small metal toggles, holds a photo or drawing centered in the frame. The frame stands on a small, semi-circular crystal base.
To preserve its clarity, wash this crystal frame with a mild liquid soap and warm (not hot) water; do not wash in dishwasher as this may permanently etch surface of crystal. Certain water may leave a lime or mineral deposit on the crystal; if that happens, vinegar on a soft, nonabrasive cloth will help remove the deposit. Rinse with warm water and polish with a lint-free cloth. Do not store frame on its delicate edges or stand on its edge on a draining board. Crystal can focus sunlight into a concentrated beam that could potentially scorch rugs or furniture, so do not store or display in direct sunlight. The frame measures 5 by 5 inches and accommodates a 2-by-3-inch photo, and the stand extends back 1 inch. --Garland Withers

Don't bother ordering it, - amazon can't deliver!,

For anyone interested in buying or ordering this item - don't bother!!!! I ordered this item on June 2, 2005, and as of October 18 am still waiting to receive it - this is despite the fact that Amazon claim it ships in 3-5 business weeks (when I ordered it website claimed 3-5 business days). Amazon keep sending me e-mails asking do I still want the product - which I go to the website and comfirm the order - given it was to be an anniversary gift (June 12), however no one at Amazon will ever respond to any e-mails you send asking why it hasn't been shipped etc. I dare say Amazon probably won't post this rating either - nor will they get back to me!
