I bought these for some friends who were recently engaged. I had no idea what to get, and they aren't registered anywhere, so I thought a pair of champagne flutes would be a nice way to toast their engagement. These are beautiful, a very clean design that will appeal to anyone. Also, they're made by Waterford, as very well recognized brand, and are also designed by Robert Mondavi, again, a name that's well known, and lends an air of class to this gift. The packaging was probably the biggest surprise. The box is very attractive, and appropriately so, can take a massive beating and still protect the glassware. I highly recommend these flutes, and my friends loved them.

The flutes arrived beautifully packed. They were crystal clear and arranged beautifully within the box. For the price I paid for them, they are fantastic.

I bought these flutes for my husband's niece who is getting married soon. Since she bought all of her own shower gifts because 'she is so picky' and didn't register anywhere, it was quite a challenge coming up with a gift for her. She is a no-frills kind of girl, so I thought these would be perfect for the overly-picky, no frills kind of girl. The flutes are beautiful -- very sleek and elegant with good weight and balance. The packaging was a cheap, thin paperboard box though; I expected better, but they did arrive unbroken.

I just received and tried out these Mondavi Waterford champagne flutes and they are very good -- well worth the money. The flutes feel good in your hand (e.g. good weight) and they look great. My only complaint is that the rim of the glass is a bit thicker than I would like, but after a few sips of sparkling wine I got use to the rim and all was good!

BTW I am not sure what "Zupiie" meant by the flutes are "Pretty but not sturdy ... Two have broken when accidentally knocked over on the counter." Fine crystal, which is what these really nice champagne flutes are made of, is not meant to be knocked over on a counter or anything else. It is like saying I really like my Honda Accord, but it really is not that sturdy -- I have two large dents in my fender after I accidentally drove into a stonewall.

I purchased the glasses to accompany a cake serving set for my daughter's wedding. Her only request was that the flutes be "unfussy". Although there were several items that fit her criterion, the Mondavi-designed set stood out because it so perfectly fits my definition of elegant simplicity. The fact that it's Waterford reinforced my decision. When we opened the package, both my daughter and I were thrilled, and the glasses were a beautiful accent for a joyous occasion. Like the cake server set I also bought at Amazon, the flutes were an excellent value for the price.

We got 4 of these champagne glasses for Christmas. Beautiful for the price but not strong. Two have broken when accidentally knocked over on the counter.
