This review is from: On The Waterfront: The Great Ships of Hoboken (Paperback)
Like all the other Bill Miller- books- this is again fantastic !
It shows the other side of the Hudson River: the Hoboken Piers with the German and Dutch Piers e.g. This waterfront is illustrated by superb photographs of the author and others.

On The Waterfront - The Great Ships of Hoboken,
By Linda S. Crosson "Lindy" (Oak Ridge, NJ) - See all my reviews
This review is from: On The Waterfront: The Great Ships of Hoboken (Paperback)
This is an EXCELLENT book for anyone wanting to be taken back to the "REAL" Hoboken - the Hoboken of yesterday before it became "trendy" and was a blue-collar town. Just 1 mile by 1 mile, Hoboken is a city rich with history and Bill captures it excellently. My husband (who wrote the forward) and Bill have been friends since childhood. Their favorite pastime was to walk around the docks and board as many ships as they can. Bill lectures on cruises all over the world, but Hoboken is special to his heart as he and my husband grew up there and got their start in the interest in ships there. Bill has written many books, but I believe this is one of his finest. Rich with history and pictures it's a must for anyone curious about the Hoboken of yesteryears.
