WOW!!!,

This review is from: Waterloo PMX2606BK 26-Inch Wide by 12-Inch Deep by 15-1/3-Inch High Black Chest with 6 Ball Bearing Drawers and Tri Channel Construction (Tools & Home Improvement)
I loved this chest and the unit on casters that it sits on so much I ordered another. To put this into perspective, this chest is much heavier than anything Craftsman or Kendall make. It is in the boat with a snap-on chest. The drawers slide smoothly on roller bearings. The lock firmly locks everything in place with no give. I am SOLD on this brand. Buy it!

Good box for home.,

Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Waterloo PMX2606BK 26-Inch Wide by 12-Inch Deep by 15-1/3-Inch High Black Chest with 6 Ball Bearing Drawers and Tri Channel Construction (Tools & Home Improvement)
This is virtually the same chest as the Craftsman heavy duty 26" wide 6-drawer ball-bearing chest. Waterloo actually makes Craftsman tool boxes. If I were to do it again, I'd of bought that box for $105 on sale right now. Even when it is not on sale, the Sears chest is cheaper(than the shipped Amazon one) since you don't pay shipping for a 50 lb chest or the Prime cost which includes the shipping cost.
I went with this one based on the review stating it was in the same boat as Snap-On, but it is not at all in Snap-On territory. The only thing I can figure is that Waterloo cut WAY back on the quality of this box since '05. Not surprising... The box feels solid enough to last a lifetime in my use, which is minor repairs, maybe one per month with the box never moving from its shelf. The paint is already wearing down to metal just from shipping, where metal touches metal, so I expect it will scratch easily. Not a big deal to me though. The drawers are smooth sliding, but nothing like a Snap-On drawer. The lid opens and closes smoothly. The locks work well, and a nice touch is that you can lock the center top drawer without locking the others. It is made from 14 gauge steel, which is pretty flimsy by itself, but the construction of the box is good so you wind up with a fairly solid piece of equipment, but its no bank-vault either. I feel that if this box were ever to be dropped from say, tail-gate height, with a full load of tool, it would probably jam all the drawers and need some major force to straighten it out. The fit and finish is good with no obvious sloppiness in the construction. The handles are a VERY nice touch, as they actually have a nice shape to them and you can wrap your hand around them. The Craftsman box has recessed handles which mean the box is a bit narrower, but I prefer the handles of the Waterloo box. It all depends on what you are looking for. I wound up putting this on top of a Craftsman Heavy Duty Ball Bearing 5-drawer roll-away and it is almost a perfect match. The Craftsman actually seems to be a bit better quality, in that the drawers slide out a little better, and the extruded aluminum drawer handles are attached a little better. To wrap it up, this is a good, but not great, tool chest if you can find it for around $150. For the $228 I paid for it through Amazon, it is overpriced. If you plan on using it every day, or moving it around a lot, it probably is not be the box for the job. If you plan on using it to store tools that get used once a week or less, it will probably do just fine.

A FINE STORAGE FOR ALL YOUR POWER TOOL ACCESSORIES.,
By G. A. FLORES "ingkol`kid" (Northern California) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Waterloo PMX2606BK 26-Inch Wide by 12-Inch Deep by 15-1/3-Inch High Black Chest with 6 Ball Bearing Drawers and Tri Channel Construction (Tools & Home Improvement)
I purchased this tool box for storing my drill bits,Files, and mostly power tools accesories. The construction seems to be okay and rugged, all ball bearings seem to function well. But the drawer will not give you that perfect pull n push fit as we all wanted to be. When fully loaded it does give you a little effort to handle it. The lock will only hold the top cover and not guarantee to shut secure all the drawers if you dont push it in real good to engaged the notch on the back of the drawers with the other notch catching situated inside the back of the drawer I dont know about the two handles if it can hold the weight when fully loaded. Oh no, This thing aint moving out my garage shelf.
But overall for a $150 tool box including shipping your pretty much safe.
