5.0 out of 5 stars High Quality
If you are looking at keyboard trays then you know that there are plenty of products to chose from with pricing ranging from $29-$500 or more. This one is priced around $100, and is of the highest quality that I have tried. I had one of the earlier models from the same manufacturer, and recognized this by its picture. I bought 9 of them for the workstations in my office,...

2.0 out of 5 stars Can't adjust angle of tray
The tray does not sit flat and over the last few months has changed increased the angle (towards the back) so that it is almost impossible to use. It can't be adjusted to and tilts upwards so that you have to prop up the keyboard in the back and the mouse slides right off the back of the mouse tray. There is NO way to adjust the angle and hence is really a waste of money.

This one is priced around $100, and is of the highest quality that I have tried. I had one of the earlier models from the same manufacturer, and recognized this by its picture. I bought 9 of them for the workstations in my office, after having bought and returned the Ken****ton ones that cost about the same price, but are made of cheap flimsy plastic. This is made of sturdy composite materials and metal. Mouse tray slides out either side and is also sturdy. Hands down the best value out there

5.0 out of 5 stars As great as I'd hoped, August 31, 2008

This keyboard tray is fantastic, I've been using it for over a month and it is solid as a rock. The glide is very smooth without being loose. Nothing feels cheap about it. The lock mechanism is a help, but most times I don't need it. The adjustments for height are great - six inches all the way down means it cleared some structural supports under my desk no problem. Though I don't need it, the side to side action is really nice too (very tight so it'll never go side to side accidentally).

An important note about the mouse tray: it works great and is a very nice size, but it makes mousing too far away for me. As a result, I put my mouse pad on the actual keyboard surface and had to buy Apple's wireless keyboard which has a much smaller footprint (I'm using an iMac). If you are buying this for a PC or cannot get or do not want a mini keyboard, be sure NOT to center mount this device. If you mouse with your left, mount it slightly to the right. Basically mount it in such a way that it will be exactly the way your current keyboard and mouse sit on your desk. Also be careful about screwing it in too far. I had to loosen the screws a few turns as they were causing tiny bumps on the surface of my desk. Even so, the thing is rock solid.
I really love this tray. Worth every penny.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good Solid Product, March 2, 2009

I bought this based on the reviews of it being a good solid product. Many keyboard trays I've seen are made of too much plastic and flimsy. Also many are not wide enough to fit the Microsoft Ergonomic keyboards.

This arm was easy to install (other than laying on your back under the desk. The instructions were simple. They provided a nice template for drilling the first two screw holes (though they could have mentioned that the arm had to be extended to get to one of them -- i paniced and thought the template didn't match). Once the first two screws were in, it was simple to get the rest in and secure it really well. It really helps to have two people -- in fact, you really need two people initially unless you were to turn your desk upside down.

In use, the arm and tray are very stable. It's a very good product.

Had been using another cheaper keyboard tray that broke when my granddaughter leaned on it. This tray will hold up to 100 lbs.
No worry about it being broke. It operates very smoothly.

5.0 out of 5 stars 100% Success, June 4, 2009
This review is from: Waterloo Premium Arm, Keyboard Tray & Mouse Tray Package Black (Misc.)
No cheap plastic parts, easy to install, functional, flexible, durable. I made this purchase based on reviews of this and other units. I've had this tray for almost four months. I could say that I would buy this again, but it looks like it is going to last a long time. I recommend this item to anyone who needs a really good keyboard tray.

5.0 out of 5 stars Lots of small things done right! Best of many I've used., August 24, 2010

This Waterloo adjustable keyboard and mouse tray is the best of many I've used. There's no single dominant feature that stands out, but it's the best combination of many smaller features done well that make it my first choice overall -- by a signicant margin.

-- Easy to install
-- Easy to adjust -- slides in and out, swings left and right, tilts, adjusts up and down
-- Low profile -- I'm tall and it will sit comfortably above my knees and still simply slide back under the desk surface without re-adjusting everything. It also doesn't have large hanging components on which to bang your knees (what it does have hanging is well behind the keyboard and out of the way of knees).
-- Large keyboard surface has plenty of room for other things behind and beside the keyboard (pen, Post-It pad, etc.)
-- Large hard mouse surface
-- No glued on foam mouse surface to wear out, get grimy, and be impossible to remove/replace. I simply drop a regular, replaceable, surface (the thin Wow!Pad is my favorite for an optical mouse) atop the slide-out surface.
-- Mouse is at the same height as the keyboard
-- Mouse tray slides left or right for left-/right-handers or simply for a change of hands
-- No built-in wrist pad. They promote poor wrist posture, abrade my wrists slightly, get grimy, etc. However, Waterloo does have an optional one you can add.

I do have one complaint:
-- The mouse tray slides very easily. I recommend putting a screw through the hole in the bottom to lock the mouse tray in place, or simply wedge it (a ladies foam wedge cosmetic applicator works great).

5.0 out of 5 stars Another satisfied purchaser., September 12, 2009
This review is from: Waterloo Premium Arm, Keyboard Tray & Mouse Tray Package Black (Misc.)
As the other reviewers have noted, this is a very well constructed and sturdy keyboard tray. My only criticism (which I won't ding the rating for) is that the slide out mouse tray does not have the same sort of lip that the keyboard has. This won't bother anyone /unless/ you want to tilt the keyboard tray at an angle, at which point anything that causes the mouse to lose its static coefficient of friction (ie, touching the mouse cable or bumping the tray) will cause the mouse to slide off. A very minor complaint on an otherwise great product.

4.0 out of 5 stars Works well with antique desk., March 16, 2011

Very happy with the quality of this keyboard tray. We needed a keyboard tray with mouse tray that could slide into the 24" wide kneehole of our antique, oak desk. Fits perfectly. I may have mounted it a little to far back trying to hide the mechanism. The mouse tray bumps the desk's drawer pull in some positions.

I found the installation relatively easy using the provided template. The design provides for all the flexibility that I require. It is well constructed; I can't see any advantage to buy a more expensive unit for my purposes.

5.0 out of 5 stars terrific keyboard tray, February 8, 2012
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Waterloo Premium Arm, Keyboard Tray & Mouse Tray Package Black (Misc.)
A colleague just came into my office to check out my keyboard tray, which made me realize what a terrific item it was and that I should share my experience.

Although the instructions are pretty weak, a few minutes looking at everything made it easy to install the tray. It went up solidly and stayed that way until we moved. It was removed by someone else for me (while I was away), but simple to reinstall in the new office. I have to note that a plastic piece broke off in the unskilled removal, so I have to be more careful now when I adjust the height.

The tray is solid, adjustable, and tucks away nicely.

I am very happy with this purchase.
