5.0 out of 5 stars Great product, great service
We have 2 of these in the house now. Very easy installation; it takes less than 5 minutes. The rain mode is great for showering and the power mode rinses your hair.

I read that a previous reviewer had a problem with switching modes and the water coming coming out half-and-half. I had a similar problem on my second showerhead after a few months and WaterPik...

2.0 out of 5 stars Keep Looking
For the first few months this showerhead was great. I liked the toggle option to switch between the raining mode and the stronger center spray. Unfortunately the toggle and the showerhead housing are flimsy. I pressed the toggle button in too far and it cracked the entire housing, which caused water to spray out of both the showerhead and the showerhead base. I switched...

2.0 out of 5 stars Keep Looking, May 14, 2005
This review is from: Waterpik CF-201 Cascadia Dual Mode 8-Inch Showerhead, White (Tools & Hardware)
I switched to a Delta stainless steel raining showerhead and I like it far more.

I read that a previous reviewer had a problem with switching modes and the water coming coming out half-and-half. I had a similar problem on my second showerhead after a few months and WaterPik had *excellent* customer service. Normally you are lucky even for companies to acknowledge you. WaterPik returned my web inquiry with a phone call and sent me a replacement at no charge. I'd happily buy from WaterPik again.

3.0 out of 5 stars Nice Rain Won't Last, December 6, 2005
This review is from: Waterpik CF-201 Cascadia Dual Mode 8-Inch Showerhead, White (Tools & Hardware)
I owned this for about a year and a half before the plastic mount cracked at the base and would no longer support the shower head. Here's a summary of my thoughts after ownership:

Pros:
- Very easy installation. Compared to other shower heads I've installed, this was one of the easiest considering its bulky design.
- Rain effect is relaxing, but not too impressive.

Cons:
- Flexible arm does not hold the heavy shower head in position after about 6 months of normal use. Repeated adjusting may damage the plastic mounting.
- Rain effect does not rinse soap off very well while showering. The second setting helps with this, but produces more of an uncomfortable sharp needle effect.

Overall: Shop around for a better model this one has some quality issues.

1.0 out of 5 stars A Sagging Disappointment, December 16, 2002
By A Customer
This review is from: Waterpik CF-201 Cascadia Dual Mode 8-Inch Showerhead, White (Tools & Hardware)
It looks really cool, BUT end up being very disappointing. The head is too heavy and sags during the shower from I would guess the weight of the water. During my shower, it eventually sags until it touches the top of my head. I push it back up and 5 minutes later, it hits my head again. Very frustrating. I removed it after 2 weeks of this game.

1.0 out of 5 stars Doesn't Last, December 23, 2004

This review is from: Waterpik CF-201 Cascadia Dual Mode 8-Inch Showerhead, White (Tools & Hardware)
I have been using this showerhead for about a year now. At first I quite liked it. However, lately it does not switch properly between modes. Sometimes it is half and half, sometimes it dribbles out the middle. This is disappointing and means I have to replace it. I believe a showerhead should last more than a year and will no longer buy any waterpik products.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very nice., October 20, 2002

This is Waterpik's version of the upscale, broad shower heads found in luxury hotels and upscale catalogues. The truth is, it works beautifully without costing a fortune. There are 2 spray options, one utilizing all the peripheral nozzles, the other concentrating the flow through the hub for more power. It is easily bent to the angle of your choice, and durability appears to be good. Installation requires only a wrench and takes less than 10 minutes.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great, and it holds up well, December 5, 2006
This review is from: Waterpik CF-201 Cascadia Dual Mode 8-Inch Showerhead, White (Tools & Hardware)
I've held off reviewing this for a couple of years now, waiting to see how it would hold up. My initial experience was very positive. Took about five minutes to install, and the only tool required was a wrench to remove the old shower head.

The back story is that my wife fell in love with those big, cascading showerheads at a nice hotel, and wanted one for home. I had bought her a metal one at Home Depot, and it was OK for a while, but eventually lost pressure and just kinda trickled. This WaterPik model claimed to regulate the pressure, so it sounded like a good step.

I was concerned about the plastic construction and the weight of the showerhead possibly causing the whole thing to droop over time.

Two years later, I can report that the water pressure is still excellent, the plastic has held up perfectly, and the shower head still holds up, even though we adjust it fairly frequently. We've been so pleased with it, we bought two more (yes, we have three showers), and all are working great. Guests rave about the wonderful showerhead (especially those who used the rather feeble ones we used to have).

All in all, I'm totally satisfied after two years of daily use.

5.0 out of 5 stars If you're TALL and use just the RAIN!!!, May 20, 2004
By A Customer
This review is from: Waterpik CF-201 Cascadia Dual Mode 8-Inch Showerhead, White (Tools & Hardware)
I bought this about two years ago on sale at another store, but it would be worth this price if you use it as we do. I adjusted the height after installing it and before turning it on, and it has not been moved. It's been used approximately twice a day since then. It is rarely changed to the other spray setting, and shows no sign of leaking. (ok, I DID take out that little yellow piece that restricted water flow before installing, but that would be up to you...I actually read the info included with it...go figure) I LOVE IT!

2.0 out of 5 stars Not what you would expect. Not worth it., January 19, 2003
By A Customer
This review is from: Waterpik CF-201 Cascadia Dual Mode 8-Inch Showerhead, White (Tools & Hardware)
The TV commercial has someone walking down a hallway of apartment doors where everyone is simultaneously taking a shower with Cascadia. They are all screaming in apparent pleasure and the walker is wondering what is going on. Maybe they were screaming because the water pressure dropped or the hot water ran out, because they are not getting any unusual experience, much less any pleasure, from this shower.
No matter what, you are restricted by the law that says your water flow has to be 2.5 gallons (a minute??) and a million holes in a shower head isn't going to make that like standing under a waterfall.
In fact, a bigger area from which the same amount of water is to fall means less water from each hole, hence a lighter shower over a wider area. That's okay, but not what you wanted when you bought the concept for this showerhead. My husband thinks the bigger area decreases the temperature of the shower so he uses the straight stream and that's not worth the price of this fixture.

2.0 out of 5 stars Looks good, but..., August 29, 2003
By A Customer
This review is from: Waterpik CF-201 Cascadia Dual Mode 8-Inch Showerhead, White (Tools & Hardware)
This product looks good but we found it to be a general dissappointment. Despite installation that included teflon tape, we could never get it to stop leaking. Also, we could never get the shower head into a comfortable position and get it to stay put. The biggest problem had to do with hard water. Although we don't have exceptionally hard water, we had to have it replaced twice in two years. The switch stopped working and we had water continually coming out of both settings. On a good note, Waterpik was very accomodating about the product warranty. I think we'll go back to something simpler and less expensive.
