The hand-held part of the shower is absolutely fantastic. Great pressure and the variation in settings is excellent. I have absolutely no problem with the actual hand-held shower bit.

That being said, the bracket that holds the hand-held shower and connects to the shower line in the wall is absolute junk. The connector is actually two parts: one that screws onto the existing line and creates a ball-type nub for the second bit to connect to and the second bit, which--when tightened--clamps down on the ball-type nub completing the connection.

The second bit is cheap plastic, plastic I have no problem with, but this stuff is light and flimsy to the point that I fear cracking it if I tighten it too much and therein lies the rub, so to speak. I do tighten it. Quite a bit. Regularly.

You see, the bracket that the hand-held shower is supposed to sit in is sort of a flat oval shape, which is a problem because the hand-held shower handle is round. Consequently, one has to apply a little force to get the round handled hand-held shower bit to sit in the cheap plastic flat oval shaped receptacle. The problem is that every time that cheap plastic flat oval shaped receptacle is moved--whether in trying to set the hand-held shower or adjusting the angle of the shower spray--the second bit of the connection loosens. Loose connections mean leaks...lots of different leaks, from high arching sprays to random dribblings.

If there were a way to connect the hand-held shower bit directly to the the shower line that comes out of the wall, I'd have given it 5 stars. As it stands 3 is pretty generous.

The other reviewer for this thing has it right. The cradle that's supposed to hold the head is junk. Not only is it made cheaply but it really doesn't hold the handle. My shower is over my head so when I point it down the handle wants to fall out. I'll Even go a little further and say the sprayer itself is bad. I count 3 sprays at best, everything in between can be described as dribbling and leaking rather than spraying.

I bought the waterpik handheld unit discribed above.
Our water pressure is next to nothing, so I removed the water saver dohicky before I installed it. The directions are with this product and it was easily removed. Now....the water pressure is wonderful. Now I can get the soap washed out of my hair.
I did find this product at Walmart and a lower price, $24.88. I purchased it there.
The hose is 5" long which is long enough for us. But the one I replaced did have a longer hose.
I recommend this product and will buy another one as a spare.

I had a very hard time finding a low-flow hand-held shower head. This one has been wonderful! I think the problems people are having is either user error on the installation or they did not have the best water pressure to begin with. This product has a lifetime warranty! It's so hard to find that these days! I think people are just too lazy to contact the manufacturer for help.

My experience has been fantastic! Best of all; after a year of owning it; when I did have a problem, I emailed customer service and they sent me a new one without my even asking for it! And I didn't have to return the old one! What more could I ask for?

I was really rather disappointed with this product, starting with the hose. It is made of plastic, not spiraled stainless steel sheathing, and the plastic material has a ghastly odor to it and is very kinked up from being folded in the packaging. The shower massage head itself allegedly has six spray modes, most of which are next to useless. The massage pulsations from this head are almost imperceivable, and I have good water pressure. The Waterpik shower massage head that I bought ten years ago runs circles around this new product. Waterpik needs to go back to the design room, and possible resurrect their old products which were far more effective. I frankly would not recommend this product to anyone, unless you desire a mediocre shower head.

This is our second Waterpik NSC659 Handheld Shower and we like them a lot. We got these due to my having hip replacement surgeries and needing a hand hald shower to use while we used a transfer bench. Fortunately, we are up and around now and have put the second Waterpik in the upstairs bathroom as well.

They seem to really increase the water pressure and we use the highest settings which really does a good job as a higher pressure water vibrator. They were both simple to install.

I checked all the Amazon Reviews and customer comments. One that stuck out was that the hanger for the nozzle is made of plastic. My response is "so what." By gently slipping the hose--not the nozzle--into the holder and then gently settling the nozzle head into the holder, the product strength is more than ample. A lot of plastics are actually quite strong. It would take quite a bit of force to break off holder so we don't plan on doing pull ups or exert an extreme force on this part of the handheld show head. The metal handheld showheads that we considered would be quite a bit heavier to hold on to and your arm could tire as a result of their weight. We're glad we now have two Waterpiks. They have an excellent choice of water streams, increase the water pressure, and are quite easily to install. State of the art for this current technology. A good way to save water.
