4.0 out of 5 stars Worked where others failed
Bought this shower head combo after buying two other more expensive equivalents from Delta and Peerless. This one feels a little cheaper and is made of primarily plastic parts. Although the other two purchases appeared to be higher quality with heavier metal-like parts (which are probably plastic), they leaked and I quickly returned them.

1.0 out of 5 stars Lousy pressure
Water pressure is pretty lousy, even once you remove the modulator. If you shut off the handheld entirely, the fixed head gives you sorta decent pressure. But I would avoid this product if you're looking to use 2 sprays.

2.0 out of 5 stars Good water pressure from fixed head, leaks and poor water pressure from handheld, August 3, 2008
By
It could be that we purchased what ended up being a defective item. I used pliers to tighten the bit that connects to the water pipe that stems from the wall. Regardless of how tight I screw it on, or whether or not the rubber flow ring is on, it sprays out the back of the head.

On top of that, the hose that leads to the handheld shower head leaks even worse. I've tried reversing the hose and tightening the hose. This leaks is by far the worst. It sprays down onto our soap.

As for water pressure, when using the "standard" setting, the fixed head has excellent water pressure when you have it on by itself and when you have both heads on. The handheld, on the other hand, has poor water pressure by itself and even worse when it's coupled with the 2nd head, which is the whole point.

The other settings for each head are horrible and unusable. If I hadn't lost the receipt, I'd take it back to Target for an exchange. Since I do not, it's going in the trash as completely unusable.

1.0 out of 5 stars Horrid plastic junk. Stay Away!, February 25, 2010

This product is the worst I have ever purchased from Waterpik. It is ALL cheap plastic, even the pipe-end fittings. The "massage" setting is anemic even with great water pressure and one of the showerhead settings should simply be called "suddenly spray me in the face." The handheld end does not have a swivel built in to the end of the hose, so you will be fighting with the hose trying to twist the handheld part out of your hand while showering. In addition, the hose off-gasses some seriously noxious plastic fumes. After about two weeks I was starting to get nauseated showering and tossed the hose into the back yard in a fit that I had spent so much money on this crappy thing! Stay away from this "chrome" (plastic) version and the "brushed nickel" (plastic) model. We have one of each and they are both equally awful!

1.0 out of 5 stars UNRELIABLE, September 12, 2010
This review is from: Waterpik TRS-553 Elements 5-Mode Handheld Shower, Chrome (Tools & Hardware)
When I bought this it worked great, but after a few months, the hand held shower head started spraying water where the hose meets up with the shower base. It is not a problem with the washer or the threads, it developed a leak where the coils meet the screw base. In other words, there is no fixing this.
Buy something else....

This Waterpik is not bad for the money and the lifetime guarentee is promising.

NOT REAL HAPPY WITH THIS PRODUCT. Great idea, the valve works very well.
the spray settings are worthless, one setting actually sprayed water over the top of the shower door. did not send it back because my old hand held worked with the new stuff. instullation was no where near as easy as it should have been, really took alot of effort to stop all the leaks. expected more from waterpik.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic!, January 14, 2012

I was just reading the other reviews, and thought i'd leave my own. My husband and i got this shower head so we could shower together without one of us waiting for our 'turn' in the water. This has a setting to turn both heads on at once. I installed the entire thing without any tools, and nothing leaks. The hose reaches well over to the other side of the shower, and the pressure is fantastic! The water for me feels really light and soft, but full. I think this is the best shower head i have ever used. I absolutely love it and recomend it to everyone!

3.0 out of 5 stars Good Cheap Alternative, May 29, 2011

We were looking at a large number of alternatives to getting a dual shower head. This was one of the cheapest options on the market and gave us the flexibility of having a hose nozzle as well. Although the product is not made of strong materials (mainly plastic) we have found it to be sturdy enough for our use.

This shower head is great.......we got one for our son and his wife for Christmas last year. We recently visited them and when we returned home, my husband said to order us one. Which I did. You won't be disappointed.

Upon receiving my new Waterpik 2 in 1 Shower System, I knew that I would love it.
Installation was easier than easy, and the water distribution and selections of each shower head are absolutely perfect. Also, the fact that this has lifetime warranty makes this purchase an absolute no-brainer. I am going to buy two more, for my other bathrooms!
Need a new shower-head? Definitely give this one a try, I do not think you will regret it.
