This thermometer is a rugged digital thermometer with a waterproof rating of IP65. It can go in the dishwasher up to 190°. It has a pocket clip and also a hanging loop at the top. The on/off switch saves batteries and it's switchable from C to F. It has a Min-Max memory button to read the last highest/maxium temperature measured. Press once more to read the last lowest.minimum temperature measured. Battery is already installed and it uses a 1.5 volt type A76 battery. This is a great digital thermometer for air conditioning, food processing, agriculture, automotive, refrigeration, pharmaceutical and laboratory and of course, nice for your home kitchen and restaurant use.

This is the 3rd waterproof thermometer I have purchased and is leaps and bounds better than the first couple brands. Other brands say they are waterproof, but as soon as you drop them in custard, they are ruined. Not the case here since it go in the dishwasher. The only thing I would change is the top end... it doesn't really attach to the case to make for a way to hold it to the side, so your hand is away from the steam. I really recommend this thermometer!

Was looking for a fast digital cooking thermometer. Decided to try this one. Works fast and one additional feature I like is it is water proof so you can clean it without worrys. Have found I would normally over cook things on the grill because I did not know the temp. Have used it for 2 summers now plus in the house in the winter.
