This is a simple and short review to point out the fact that this item is resubmitted by sellers only to leave behind previous negative feedback. Sellers are re-listing the item to eliminate negative feedback. If you search for "waterproof iphone" you will see it being sold by new accounts with a new description, but likely coming from the same sellers. They do not make it past 10 reviews, before switching accounts.
In NO WAY is this case waterproof, all it takes is ONE grain of sand or a hair to cause a leak. But you will also get a leak from where the hinge closes on, and pinches the gasket. You CANNOT inspect the hinge gasket as it is hidden, and it leaks. If you don't believe me, then try the case empty and submerge in a sink.
You do not need to ruin your iPhone to realize this is a splash or water-resistant case ONLY. Waterproof is a FALSE CLAIM as it is so completely unreliable.
BOTTOM LINE = Falsely advertised and overpriced. It is water-resistant only. Sorry I bothered with it. It should be sold as a splash case for $7.50.

I have this case for my iPhone 4, which I will be giving to my daughter. I bought another one for the 4S I just ordered. This case is a must have for canoe trips, beach, around the pool, or just to use during the rainy season. It was easy to insert the phone and has three locking screwtabs to seal the case around the gasket. When I took photographs with the case on there was no dropoff in quality. The home button is accessible via a rubber fronting with a slight raised button. I saw very little difference in the ability to use the home button with the case on than with it off.
I am looking forward to testing this while snorkeling. Underwater photography is a hobby of mine, so I am curious to see if it handles pressure at shallow depths. If it does, it makes this case a double value. I will update this review after my first canoe/snorkeling trip of the year.. next week!
FOLLOW UP: I was finally able to test the case in my pool (while cleaning out the winter leaves!). I was able to dive down to the bottom ~ 8 feet, with no leaks in the case. I tried first without the phone in to be certain and then dove again with the phone in and no leaks at all. I then tried video and it worked great. You have to start the video before going under because the touch screen works on heat variation and being underwater makes it impossible for it to register your touch. But, I started the video above water and dove to the bottom. Not much to see but leaves, but the video came out great. Once it warms up a bit I will take this to the freshwater springs nearby and see about getting some footage of manatees.

This is a great invention! Made my trip to the Florida Keys so much more fun.
I've never been interested that much in underwater photography before because I always thought it is something that only trained divers with ridiculously expensive equipment do.
I have iPhone 4s so the quality of the video was already pretty good. I was amazed how sharp the picture was and how much color there was although I took the video on a cloudy day.
All that got me inspired to plan my next trip, maybe somewhere more exotic!
The only thing I would say is make sure that the case is well sealed by the black ring on the edge. I forgot the instructions home and the first time I tried it on, it took me a while to figure out whether it's been done the right way. But that was really my fault.
I was in the water for about half an hour, diving in and out and miraculously my phone stayed dry and recorded everything and much more that my eyes could see!
I felt like a real underwater videographer while other snorkelers gave me jealous looks. Ha!
The coolest thing was that I was able to edit and upload the video on Facebook and share it with the world only minutes after I got out of the water because it was already in my iPhone!

Sandwich Bag

This product protects the phone alright, but is not designed for daily...
If you need to charge your phone you need to take it out of the case. Same thing if you want to use headphones or mute the phone. Read more

Don't
