Book Description

"Although God chooses us before our birth, our path to Him is filled with uncertainty on our part. Everyone has a different story. Everyone experiences events that one way or another end up being connected through time in a divine tapestry of sovereignty."- From the Introduction

During his early years, Israel Sanchez grew up fearing God, but he didn't know much about him. He was a distant Being, someone living in a mansion in the sky. When he had to leave Cuba without either of his parents at the age of 11, God as a Father became more than a heartwarming notion, it became a reality. Do you relate to God as a Father? Have you been swimming in His waters of grace?

This brief spiritual memoir can rekindle the passion for the Christian faith in anyone who reads it, regardless of age, gender or nationality.

About the Author

Israel Sánchez was born in Havana, Cuba. When he was 11 years old, he left Cuba without either of his parents and made it to South Florida. He went from food being rationed to abundance and from daily power outages to lights in every corner. "Waters of Grace" is his brief, but powerful spiritual autobiography. If God can rescue a poor boy from Havana, he can rescue anyone.

5.0 out of 5 stars Waters of Grace: Christianity for Anyone* December 27, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
This intriguing novel is an excellent account of a lifetime of thoughts and experiences of man who has been found by Jesus, and is described in personal heartfelt detail to those who will read. His focused audience being those who have no religion.
I believe anyone, with or without faith in God, will be given profound insights on many issues, with the overall theme being one of genuine grace.
This is written extremely well, and I challenge you to just read the first chapter. I doubt you'll put it down.

5.0 out of 5 stars An easy read, written with intelligence and compassion! November 18, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Israel Sanchez writes with intelligence and heartfelt emotion as he introduces himself to his audience through personal stories about his life, his family, his upbringing, and his faith. The book is easy to read and focuses on his outreach to those who don't know Jesus as Lord and Savior. He plainly explains what it means to believe in God and to follow Him based on comparisons to his upbringing in the Catholic church. His personal stories give meaning and clear examples of the grace of God that has seen him through a difficult life in Cuba and the hard decision to come to America and leave his mother and father behind. Sanchez's steadfast hunger for something more to believe in led him to Christianity, where he explains how he came to having a personal relationship with Jesus and how anyone can come to know him.

More About the Author

Israel Sanchez was born in Havana, Cuba. He lived there until he was 11 years old, when he abandoned the island for the coast of Florida. He was raised Catholic but soon found religion to be exhausting and frustrating, that is until he visited an evangelical church and gave his heart to Jesus Christ. His passion is to see his generation living radically for the Lord Jesus Christ.

He wrote Waters of Grace to tell his story, and found out, that although we come from different places and backgrounds, we are all part of One story. That story is that of God, loving his creation and his creatures so much that He sent his only Son to rescue them.

More than a memoir, Waters of Grace looks at our culture and the condition of our churches and point us to the right direction; vertically.

Israel lives in Kansas with his wife and daughter.
