This product does exactly what the description says it does and does it perfectly. Even when I go too long between cleanings, if I let my distiller soak over night, the next morning all the scale is either dissolved or soft enough to remove with a brush.

Regarding the 1-star review applied to this product - it never ceases to amaze me that people will post reviews of PRODUCTS for complaints about AMAZON. (Note: I'm giving the 1-star reviewer the benefit of the doubt as I don't see anything on this product's page that would lead me to believe that I was buying a distiller.)

I have used this item for about a year now, I can say it works much better than any other cleaner I have used. I have a Sears water distiller and have used it for cleaning it. The Sears distiller cleaner cost more was not as effective.

We have really hard water and although I try to keep up with the maintenance, my distiller sometimes goes longer than it should between cleanings. The product that I used before this also produced good results but it required another step --boiling-- to do the job. Kleenwise specifically warns against boiling the solution and recommends using warm tap water. I was a bit skeptical about the effectiveness of this method; it just seemed too simple, but I followed directions. When I came back to check after about an hour, the scale had dissolved and the distiller looked good as new. Although it didn't seem necessary, just to be on the safe side, I let it sit for another hour before emptying and rinsing it out. The boiler was sparkling clean.

I'm really quite impressed with how well this works and how easy it is to use.

This product work like magic and when purchasing in these larger sizes the price is very reasonable. The trick is to use very little after each use for five minutes and keep the bottom clean. If this is done the larger size container will last for many months maybe more than a year.

This is a great product. It easily cleans the lime and scale that accumulates in distillers and coffee pots.

Waterwise Cleaner and Descaler is an excellent product. As a family that only consumes steam distilled
water for health reasons, we rely on this product to help keep our distiller running smoothly and
efficiently. Used as directed, this product effectively cleans all byproducts of
raw water , lime, scale, iron, etc..... and is then easily rinsed out. I was amazed
at how effective this cleaner is, and it is safe to use in equipment used to make drinking water.

I used it in my Megahome/Nutriteam distiller. Two tablespoons in a gallon of hot water. It removed the scale in a couple of hours. The stainless steel in the tank looks brand new - with NO rubbing or brushing.
Two tablespoons in a gallon of water makes a solution that has a lot more power than any vinegar. In fact, I've used it to clean coffee makers (rinsing them out well afterward, of course).
I'm going to try it for soaking shower heads someday.

I have used this product for several years and find it easy to clean the heavy deposit of scale off from the inside of the waterwise brew pot. Following the instructions on the label is the best way to use this product. I usually fill the brew pot wth the Kleener - Descaler and let it stand overnight with the lid on the brew pot. This dissolves the scale to a condition that it is easily wiped out of the pot without using a scouring pad.

This product arrived promptly and works far better than the cleaner that came with our distiller, plus the distiller does not (and cannot) be running to use it. Highly recommended.

There are too many steps you have to go through to use this product. I've used other products where it is a 1 step process. I would not purchase this item again.
