I've used Watkins for about 6 years now after being diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis. The medication for the disease is very expensive and at the time I can only attempt to control the pain. My Grandma frequently buys Watkins products and turned me on to it. Recently bought some again and am quite pleased. It also helps pain from Scoliosis in the neck. The smell is rather strong but we all know that usually its the smelly things that bring relief. From what I hear the white cream is more effective than the red. I'm happy with Watkins products, their hand soaps are also nice.

My husband told me how good this product was. I ordered it and was pleased with how it releived my arthritis pain and with the ease and speed of service from this site. I would recommend this product and this supplier to anyone.

This is such a good muscle relaxer. The smell is pleasing. I was pleased to find this product on Amazon since stores don't usually carry it.

Please note that I have been an Independent Watkins Distributor for 19 years now. Having said that, I really like the White Cream Liniment. I had really bad shoulder pain and it was the ONLY thing that would give me relief. Asprin no. Other topicals, no. But you have to use plenty to get the effect. Watch out for how runny the liquid is, you can quickly make a big mess.

The smell is awful but goes away quickly and the pain relief lasts for a while.

It is o.k. but if you are truly looking for pain relief, this is not the one to buy. It does not relieve the pain as much as watkins red pain relief liniment.

Although the new formula has less offensive (to the people that don't like the smell...) smell than other liniments on the market, it doesn't quite work as well for my family as the original formula. Still worth a try tho'. I'm not quite sure when Watkins changed the formula, maybe late 2010 or early 2011. The "red" liniment J R Watkins Natural Pain Relieving Red Liniment - 11 Oz, 2 Pack has a more obvious smell, is harder to apply than this cream, but seems to work better. Every "body" is different tho, and what may not work for us, may indeed work better than what you are currently using.

Having liked other Watkins products, especially the foot lotion, I tried this for pain from myofascitis. The smell is horrible, but I would have put up with it if it worked, but it did nothing at all for pain. Back to my Icy Hot.
