Active Manuka Honey contains a wondrous array of healing properties, and can be very useful in treating many ailments. Below is a brief overview of the different ratings of Manuka honey, and their suggested uses:
· Active 10+ Certified Manuka: This is considered a Maintenance Level honey. This rating works great for general immune system maintenance and the daily treatment of acid reflux, IBS, and other digestive ailments.
· Active 15+ Certified Manuka: This is considered a Useful level honey. High antibacterial levels make this honey perfect for treating ulcers, sore throats (especially resistant strep throat), cold sores and more advanced cases of IBS, acid reflux and digestive ailments.

I also wrote a review on the Watson and Son 15+ honey, but the 20+ is definitely different, especially for those of you looking at these honeys as natural remedies. This has the same great quality I have always seen from Watson and Son, but the 20+ is great as a topically applied remedy. I tested this one out on one of my sons when he showed up with a cold sore. The manuka went right to work doing it's magic. He said after just a few days, not only had it subsided, but that the evidence of the sore (which usually lasts for a while after the sore itself has gone) was virtually nonexistent! I have read that it can be applied to any sores, including MRSA and bed sores. I'm looking forward to the opportunity of seeing more Manuka magic!

Amazon Verified Purchase
I reviewed another Manuka honey on here and I'm basically saying the same thing: It's easy to find a lot of fake "active" Manuka Honeys online or in local stores. But this brand is the real thing (I researched it and made sure). And it's delicious, as is all real active Manuka honey. If you haven't tried Manuka honey, it tastes totally different from regular honey. I'm not a big fan of regular honey, but this stuff is deeeeelicious. And the Active factor of 20 makes it the best at any medicinal uses you might want it for. I only get the 20. If you're just getting it for the flavor, go cheaper and get a lower number. But if you are using it for any internal or external medicinal purpose, go with this one.
My only complaint about the Watson and Son is that it's very expensive. I usually buy ApiHealth Manuka 20+ (can't find it here on Amazon - I either buy it at my local health food store when they have it in stock, or I order it directly from the company in New Zealand). That one is expensive but this one is even more expensive - $10 more per jar. I bought this one because I was curious to see if another brand would taste different or have a different texture. They do vary from jar to jar, I've found. Not the taste but the texture. Some are more "solid" than others. Some are a little "runnier" and you have to be quick with the spoon or it'll spill on the table!
Anyway, I do love the honey and this is an excellent product. I recommend it. They just need to lower the price a bit.

This stuff is GREAT! Had a nasty sore throat that made me lose my voice, which is terrible because my job requires me to talk on the phone a lot. I took a few spoonfuls of this in hot water and it went to work like magic. Definitely a believer! Probably the nicest jar of honey I've bought (better be for the price). Really nice label and packaging. Definitely top tier stuff! I won't be caught without this stuff in my cabinet :)
